This was recorded using a real first generation Game Boy (mine). Most other versions on KZitem have inaccurate audio because they were recorded with a poor quality emulator. Enjoy! *EDIT:* Before you quote lines from some Dilbert meme or from Ariston, be aware that this has already been done a hundred times.

So I first started playing Space Station 13 in 2007, when it was like 10 people a server, if we got 20+ that was a LOT. Come back this past year and it's now blown up to 100+ a server average, but one thing still confuses me... How did THIS song become to be a theme for SS13?...

I think it lends value to a game practically devoid of any on its own. without this song, I don't think the hard work of the devs would even have been properly noticed, as it has been. I see where you are coming from, but I stand by my point.

Commodore 64 had this first and the song in its original format and tempo will make you cry. It's that good. This version is OK, but it's a bit slow and not as faithful to the original as I would like, though.

A sad theme for a sad story. Robocop is a pretty sad story when you think about it. A Heroic Man loses his life protecting society from evil, only to be brought back to life and forced to sacrifice his very humanity and the ones he loved to continue to protect them and society from evil.

Ah yes, the theme of nine years old me going with my father to one of his work friends' that one evening, said friend's daughter lending me her gb with this game, and me laying on that sofa just staying there completely mind blown by what was coming out of that console's speaker. Thinking about it, they also had Tintin Prisoners of the sun on the same console, as well as the Smurfs on the NES, so even though not there intention, it felt like they were keen on collecting those euro chiptune masterpieces.

...it's so odd. I brought this game for a buck off a friend in school ages ago. The game itself is more or less an average side scroller for its time, but what a theme! I spent more time on the title screen than playing the game, just listening. Such a beautiful tune for an otherwise unremarkable game. And it fits too. A stoic, tireless, cyborg policeman patrolling night after rainy night, beat after beat... The Commodore 64 version is, I think, the original tune, but this one is far superior, mostly due to slowing the whole thing down.
