You damn straight Weller the only robcop but it must be eerie for him to watch this now and see his younger self when he was in his prime and able to tolerant wearing the suit. Today he would have a stroke if he had to wear just the under suit of the costume without the outer silver armor. Well Weller is now becoming just as well know in the trek universe having already appeared in star strek enterprise and into darkness.

peshmerge44 It's not dick riding. It's paying tribute to a lost art. These guys put huge commitment into making something millions of people could enjoy. And yes, they were compensated for it, but we can still commend them for it. The reason Ian McKellan broke down in tears on the seat of The Hobbit was because he was acting alone in front of green screens. It's sterile, and won't get the same emotion from working with actual people, like he did in the original trilogy. Those Urak Hai were real people in full make up and costume not shitty cgi.
@synthrogue6856
5 жыл бұрын
@@ICantSplel Not every current generation film uses entire green screened scenes and no background actors in real costumes, same goes for hard working actors, there's still plenty of them. This notion of it being a 'lost art' and how it's 'not as good as it used to be' bullshit sentiment is getting old. It's not a lost art at all, cinema is better than ever now with the advancements of technology and equipment. You realise CGI and enhanced visual effects are prevalent in almost every film in existence now, it's just that you don't notice because of how seamless it is? It's seamless and well done because of equally talented and hard working visual effects artists that put in hours and hours of painstaking work while the big name actors and directors are relaxing at home in their expensive houses. We all know some actors go above and beyond to put effort into a role but let's not pretend they're 'suffering' or convince ourselves that they genuinely earn or deserve the pay they get. Actors are overpaid fullstop. Especially in comparison to the rest of a film crew who are equally as responsible for making the film even possible to exist. You and I know aswell as anyone else here that if offered Peter Weller's wage to walk around in a plastic suit for a few hours a day we'd jump at the chance and wake up and skip into 'work' with a smile the width of the Atlantic ocean on our faces and not able to contain our disbelief at how lucky we are.

There's a really interesting talk about how the whole Robocop suit came together. About how originally it took something like 10 hours to put it on and how he could barely move it in. So they worked on it over the weekend with a guy that did mime work and they redesigned the suit. They redesigned how he moved and actually helped make the movie the classic it is today.

That suit might have been a pain in the ass to get into.. but it sure as hell beats working in a sweat shop or cleaning toilets. or even as an extra standing around for hours a day for a few bucks. The movie helped him make millions with other movie and tv roles. So lets not all feel too sorry for these actors.

It's odd but im technician in facility maintenance and i learnt to walk faster, have to, turned out it reminds how Robocop - Peter Wheller walked. It wasn't mine intention. I used to get late to job so i run very often, it's just kinda habit, addrenaline shot before i start, but i noticed just recently if you keep head at same level all the time, and torso and focus on how and when you put feet on ground. And you really focus on that its actually very efficient you can run not only faster but wont get tired. While you walking thanks to that method you can move your head around, watch the enviroment, look how machine works, find parts whatever. But if you focus on same thing while running all of sudden you run much faster! I was never good athlete except for sprinting and jumping. Got tired very quickly. Nobody ever told me how to run properly. What i noticed if i focus on mine body every part of it like a robot. It's freaking amazing all of sudden i understood how and why athletes have to focus so much.. and why im writing this here? Robocop used to walk such way keep head up on level :)

the thing is, you may see those as disgusting or whatever, but it takes something that real and intense to really bring a character into the hearts of the viewers. the original robocop was released the year i was born, I saw it in the early 90's, but it will always hold a special place in my heart as being one of the first action films that REALLY grabbed me as an audience member and those scenes will always stick with me. it's just brilliant filmaking

if he ever feels unwell, time to unscrew everything etc. can become fatal. Nowadays I think all these risks would be better looked at ...
