Dont wanna sound naggy but it looks like a casket on wheels hehe Other than that the concept is pretty cool i would definitely buy one considering i just gave away 2000$ for a new snow-blower and i cant do the work from my PC =P. Bet roboplow can shove robocop to the curb any day =). Gj indeed.

This is a fantastic idea. I wonder if it can record its plow pattern and replicate automatically? Also, does it have a proximity warning if it gets to close to something or a moving object?

You could use something like the Oculus rift to control the camera, You could also auto map out the paths via GPS. After removing the snow return to base and (quickswap?) the plough for a hopper with salt. This is awesome!

@JeffyBigH IT Did 20" of snow last year it was though I had to Charge it twice but claened my driveway, It took 1 hour and beat the hell out of the batteries, Roboplow weighes 980 pounds and pushes hundreds of pounds of snow

When I first saw it come out of the garage and it plowed down the little drive way and back up I thought to myself "pfftttt.. so what.". Then I saw it do the side walk and I thought to myself "Wow that is amazing what a useful little machine!". Think of all the time it would of taken to do that with a human and shovel! Oh and the pain. Great video!

Not a bad idea. Only one question. What about major sidewalk damage from frost? In any place where it snows often frost will inevitably be a problem and will always destroy sidewalks. How does this thing handle damaged surfaces?

Love this idea! Is this fully operated from your computer? How far is the range if so? Have you considered putting a higher warning light on it? Have you considered adding another camera to show what is behind you [would hate for some pesky kid to sneak up behind it and get taken out!]? Oh, and I want one.

Obviously it doesn't snow 10 feet a minute, you just let it run all day, assuming that it is fully autonomic! Don't talk to me about North Dakota Blizzard, I live in Canada, I gotta dig a tunnel every morning to get out of the house!

Post up another vid if you get deeper snow! I'd love to see it in 12" - 14" of snow. It might need chains, but I'm pretty sure it's heavy enough to handle that much. Awesome project!

If kids could work those by remote control, adults wouldn't have to do *any* snow removal! Unless it got too deep and heavy - as mentioned previously. Something big enough to move several feet of snow probably shouldn't be left to the kids!

honestly, i would have no problem dropping a few grand on this machine. Just think how fast you could make it back by having people pay you $50 at a shot to remove the snow for their house in proly 10 minutes with this thing.
