This drumless loop sound was something that took me a bit to get comfortable with, but Roc really kills it. My wax of Mt. Marci has seen mad spins since I got it!
@xStephen242x

Also, what Craven said about drumless sounds being somewhat no go zones for shitty rappers it so true. I personally prefer shit with drums, but I think in the current hip-hop landscape, taking that shit away is a good way to force the lyricism to the forefront and it's something i heavily respect.

Wow!!! Can't believe I missed this. Craven has mastered the art of complicated simplicity, when it comes to beats lol I know that makes zero sense. But know what I mean haha! I have a long wish list of Emcee's for him to work with. Definitely one of my favourite producers in the last 5 years. I pray he can end up working with the guys below for full projects! KA Black Thought Conway Mach Hommy Billy Woods Ghostface Stove God Roc Marci Estee Nack Rome Streetz Mick Jenkins Meyhem Lauren Raekwon Even if he managed to pull off 2 or 3 of these I could die a happy man. @@crate808 Like you, I am a 90's Hip Hop dude. But this era might overtake it at this rate. So many artists that are smashing the game. Some of these newer guys even breaking into my top 10 O.A.T And I never thought that could be a possibility....
@crate808

@@ninjasrose1653 it’s a tough one, I think time will tell ultimately - so much talent, but for me the variety in the 90s which actually hit the popular masses has a wider spectrum. Yeah for sure things ended up sounding the same in the end, but there was a period there that the top top artists were very different. Either way, what a time to be alive

@@crate808 Yeah, I think it has a little way to go. I suppose it's easy to forget how versatile the 90's was. But you're right, what a time to be alive. Who would of thought Hip Hop would become the most popular genre in the world. How crazy is that shit!?!?!

@@lucasgoncalves9281 unfinished beats basically. Boring. Random couplets, barely keeping to some kind of pattern over pre production stage ideas is weak to me.
