I've used Armscor RIA 1911's and MAP (CZ-75) series in Philippines. I tried 45ACP, 40S&W, 9mm, and 22TCM. 9mm and 22TCM were my favorites. Glad they're finally in Australia now. Good hands on review 👍

I have the Tac Ultra in 9mm and .22TCM. It was a 2017 model that I bought used from the original owner. Very lucky to have stumbled across that listing in used gun forums as it came with the two barrels (for both calibers) out the box!

Other than the thumb safeties being sharp enough to cut your steak, they’re solid, reliable guns. I’ve owned several over the years and they’ve been all been great.

Love my RIA 2011, had it since 2015. A few hiccups but man she runs true, added a few Wilson parts here and there.

I have the RIA 1911 ultra ms, .45acp. My EDC because of the short barrel. I’m sure I’ve put a minimum of 1000 rnds. Excellent results. IMO you can’t go wrong. It’s sad the “ monarchy dictatorship government “ in Australia people are so controlling with antiquated mentality. It’s factually ignorant to call the .45acp a large caliber in order to eliminate it from competitions.

Great 1911 magazines at a very good price are at Advanced Tactical in Nevada. I would say as good as Wilson Combat.

Have you tried the Shooters Arms Manufacturing 1911 pistols? They are pretty well-made pistols as well.

They are great guns for the money but HOLY SHIT you poor guys are getting boned on the prices. I just bought a tac ultra 10mm for $670 and saw a Taylor and Co 10mm which is the rock ultra on sale for $399.

I just purchased a RIA M1911. The gun, brand new, was delivered as inoperable. The magazine hits the slide stop and won't fully insert. Even with the slide and slide stop removed, and the magazine fully inserted in the mag well, the magazine won't lock in place. I can remove it by pulling it out with my fingers without using the mag release. Also, the hardcopy manual was printed with four missing pages (loading and unloading, maintenance, and Rock series parts listing). Worse than any of this, I registered the pistol for warranty with RIA and told them of the issues. That quickly resulted in multiple promotional emails, but no help. I followed up with an email detailing the issues (again). It's now been 4 days and no response, at all, from RIA. Don't make the mistake I did. Buy anything but an RIA pistol.
