This is a banana cocktail! Banana and rums up front, followed by mixed juice linger. Pleasurable banana leaning poolside libation with ample ABV. Recipe from Colleen Graham, with my choice of rums and liqueur. Comes in at 22% ABV.
MIXING NOTES: Malibu rum can be used (lower ABV 42 proof), other banana liqueurs can be used (Bols, Hiram Walker, DeKuyper). Make sure to use a ripe banana or it won’t blend well and flow through a straw. Other dark rums such as Myers’s (Jamaican), Coruba (Jamaican), or Diamond (Guyana) will work but will darken flavor profile. Cruzan Blackstrap is too dark for this one. Don’t Ninja blend with ice as it will dilute the (any) cocktail.

3 Koloa coconut rum (Hawaii 80 proof)
1½ Giffard banane du Bresil liqueur (France 50 proof)
1 Rose’s grenadine
1 ripe banana (black on skin) 12 slices
½ fresh pressed pineapple juice
½ fresh squeezed orange juice (Navel)
½ Trader Vic’s Dark rum (West Indies 80 proof)
Ninja smoothie blend until banana is pureed, pour all into clear cracked ice filled chimney glass, straw
