Great interviews! Really smart to interview them individually, that way Robert can actually get a word in.

Great interviews individually with Ricky & Robert👍Those guys were phenomenal as a tag team back in the mid-80s with The NWA in The Carolinas. I remember their battles with The Midnight Express / Four Horsemen well. Amazing times in the pro wrestling world💯

Im glad Robert cleared things up. Some people seem to dispute the fact that Norvell Austin was an original Midnight Express member. And also, people seem to forget the team formed in Memphis. Jerry Lawler gave the name Rock n Roll Express

I met Ricky , a few others were with him , at a club in Knox. TN around 94 maybe ? I'm 6'4" and was about 200 lbs at the time. I was definitely taller than Ricky , but at that time , I could tell he'd been working out. He was broader and thicker in the shoulders than I was. Yeah , those guys were trying picking up the leftovers at the end of the night 😂. The place was about to close. I just got off work. He was a pretty nice guy though .

they were pretty darn good though. rick took an epic ass kicking then the hot tag that led to the double drop kick. i also liked that double team move where the both grabbed an arm from the legal guy in the ring and did this kind of rolling somersault and both punched the non legal man on the outside apron in the face at the same time when they were finished with their roll or whatever
