Thanks for picking this gem of a song! Love INXS . The Wembley concert (Live Baby Live) stands the test of time. It’s unfortunate that record label and managerial changes altered their trajectory during the 90’s, not to mention the emergence of the grunge era. But the most tragic occurrence was the traumatic brain injury that Michael Hutchence suffered in 1992 which eventually led to his suicide a few years later. INXS probably would still be performing sold out tours had events not transpired as they sadly did.

As a 26yo Aussie I was as lucky AF to be in the UK & was at this Amazing Arvo/evening gig among 72000+ other fans Best vibe I ever felt walking into any gig I've been at. I'm now 59 & thankfully can still remember it lol...plus having the DVD & Blu-ray helps 🤣 ✌️❤️🇦🇺

Thank you so much for reacting to INXS. I was excited to hear that you selected this song from a list of “great rock songs”. It gives me hope that the band is starting to regain some respect and prominence in the music world. INXS, for any number of reasons, has seen their legacy diminished over the years. Their contemporaries from the mid-80s and early 90s are still pretty well known (bands like U2, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, etc.), but so many people today have never even heard of INXS. Considering how huge they were at the time, it’s both baffling and a shame that they’ve been so forgotten. That’s one of the reasons I get so excited to see people on KZitem react to the band (especially when they’re positive reactions). I’m hopeful that it can bring renewed recognition and INXS can reclaim their place in rock history. Thanks again!

@@finnle You are very welcome. 😏. Great comment to read. I had no clue they lost some luster from fans. Well, I also hope they gain that shine back. They are cool and uninhibited. ~ Tazzz ~

Well said finnle! The fans haven't lost their love, but the greater music community have forgotten how great INXS were. Since Michael has passed, it does make it harder to stay in prominance. But yes I think they are getting back into the spotlight and regaining the respect for what they achieved! Especially with reactions like this one!

Oh you randomly picked my favourite live performance ever!! It was 73k fans going absolutely wild and the band were jamming their bums off.. especially John on drums as you mentioned. And Michael was the star of the performance, his presence, charisma and sexyness..but didn't overshadow the rest of this fantastic band!

@@NoCanDu my first time seeing them was for the KICK tour in 1988, so was in a stadium (Melbourne Tennis Centre), I was 15yo. Saw them in 1993 in a small club The Palace, where they tested songs for Full Moon..was amazing.

Me2 some of their OMVs but no live footage I recall so this is really cool. Michael Hutchence always reminded me of Jim Morrison, charismatic as hell. Unfortunately he only live 10 years longer.

I haven't heard the song for a long time and had almost forgotten it. In this case I prefer the Studio version. I only have the INXS album "Kick", which is my personal favorite. But when I listen to INXS, it is limited to the songs from this album. Michael Hutchence was an icon and with his suicide the band ceased to exist for me.
