What would be better than Starship?
SpaceX has completely restarted the world's space industry. The Falcon 9 is one of the most dependable rocket systems ever built, and is America's only way to get astronauts into space right now. That alone would give it a prominent place in history but it is also partially reusable.
The Starship Launch System will be completely reusable and should be able to get 100 to 150 metric tonnes to low Earth orbit.
Other nations and companies around the world are trying to catch up.
Russia and the European Union are both working on reusable boosters to compete with Falcon 9.
But true competition requires innovation.
Simply copying what SpaceX has done with the Falcon 9 decades later advances nothing and would certainly not be competitive.
What should a financial superpower like the European Union do?
To compete with SpaceX and Starship.
We present an analysis of a super heavy lift rocket system called Phalanx,
with the financial arguments to go big,
presented by launch window research.
Enjoy and let us know what you think.
