My father, a country boy from Minnesota, died in 1994. He always spoke of John Denver as having the purest voice he'd ever heard. My father taught me the love for a simple country song and an intense love for nature, so the song and these images brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

Approaching the age of 50 I have always held dear to "Folk Music" because it tells an honest story/tale of life. As a "Rock-n-Roll" teenager in the 70's I have always enjoyed John's music. Thank You John...R.I.P. I only hope before we meet...I experience the Rocky's that you sing about.

There is and never will be any words to describe the beauty of John Denver music. He is one of a kind and will remain in our hearts forever. I have all his music and listen to it daily. I love these videos too as it portrays John as he was , a lover of nature and humanity. Rest in peace John as you will never leave our hearts.

I lived in the south, GA and MS for 44 years and finally came home when I moved to Durango, CO a year ago. This song says it all for me too! The beauty of this state can't be beat! Love riding the motorcycle in the mountains. I moved from 40 ft. above sea level to over 6600 ft. and ride up to 13,000 in a matter of minutes. You should experience the Rocky Mtns at least once in your life and you'll see heaven on earth!!! xoxo

I Lived in Denver,Colorado for 4 years in the late '70's early '80's...absolutely beautiful place. Was standing in line for a movie at Tamarac Square in s.e. Denver one sat. and JD was waiting with his kids and wife, just like everybody else. Very unasuming and humble. Whenever I hear this song I think about those times in the 'Mile High City'. RIP

John Denvers music was special to me at an early age. His songs, and the way he sang them seemed to actually take me there, be it to the Rockies, Alaska, aboard the Calypso, and down a country road. It was like I somehow knew him, even though I never met him personally. What a legacy he left for us. May he rest in peace.

Went to the Canadian rockies last summer. It was like coming home to a place I'd never been before. The mountains cant be properly discribed in a thousand or more words. You must go into them, explore them, camp in them and marvel at were you are. You will leave renewed and refreshed. Your soul reborn to you. When you finally leave. A piece of you stays in the mountains forever.

Granted, I was born and raised in Colorado, but I have travelled the world, lived in beautiful Oregon, and I can honestly, objectively say, Colorado is spectacular. Our mountains are lovely and we have the bluest sky you will ever see. If you haven't been here, come. There's a reason visitors rave about it, and people who grew up here and moved away so often end up moving back :)

This song came out only 3 or so years before my Daddy died. It reminds me of an innocent little girl who thought that man hung the moon and the stars...when that same little girl's Momma ran through a downpour to get a doll stroller out of the store window across the street from the parked car...when her BIG brother would whip the snot out of ANY bully that LOOKED at her wrong...and a BIG sister that could never do wrong. I was blessed to have lived there in my 20s and know of what he speaks.
