One thing that I love about this song is most parents don't realize just how much they're looked up to and idolized by their children. To many their parent's are their role model and want to be just like them. It should be a reminder to act like you want them to and help it make you a better person for them.

I got to meet my dad when I was 18 and it's crazy how I just met him and everything about me is exactly like him, from the way I look, the way I dress, the dark humor we have, and the look on life. I've missed him without realizing I've missed him

This song has a very important message that I think many people might not take seriously enough... Be very careful how you behave, because your kid is watching your every move. They do as you do, not as you say. If you model negative behavior you are very likely damaging your kid for life, because it's exteeeemely hard to unlearn behaviors that you learn during those critical years as a child. Most of them will stick with you for life. At that age, you're creating the adult that they will someday become.

Just wanted to make a request and the song is called "I Don't Call Him Daddy" by Doug Supernaw. The song will resonate with a lot of single dads and what they go thru when they see them and when go home with mom and step dad. It's a definite tear jerker from the beginning to the end without a doubt but it sheds light on the way it is when Dad is gonna see his son on the weekend😭 I guarantee the song will not disappoint nor will its story and message.
