Rodney being the casual God here..flawless. He wobbled like once?? no mistakes, no falls, no issues. Doing tricks no one has seen before...AND also starts with a flat ground line that ANYONE would envy today.....The man is a phenomenon.

Rodney came to our small town in the middle of Norway once in the early 90s for some weird reason. And my older brother had built a big-ass ramp on our old potato-pad or whatever it's called. Anyway, Rodney suddenly showed up one day, my brothers IDOL. And he asked if they could skate on his ramp. So my brother got to skate with Rodney. He even taped it, but my dad taped over it by accident a few years later. Anyway, it was a good memory for him :)

@@GoScience123 Rodney wasn't entering freestyle contests by then, he only did demos at them. He always skated at his own leisure in those. He continued doing many of those throughout the 90s and early 2000s. There's a library of them all over youtube. They took his pro models off the shelf and he quit doing contests around 91 and pursued his street skating career that's why he was using a basic street deck. By this point he was focused on making products for companies and filming video parts.

I love 1990 footage of Mullen because it was freestyle’s last hurrah; it died as a skateboarding discipline that year and left him solely as World Industries team manager, board shape designer/developer/innovator. He didn’t start skating again until the very end of 1991 with Mike T. and Plan B.

He won like 32 of 33 championships and the single he didnt was because he got stuck with one single trick he didnt land. If he'd just ignored it and would just continued, he'd won that too. Tho, when the "new era" of skateboarding started. (street, ollies, handrails, advanced shapes), he was a bit overshadowed and seem got get forgotten. Iam so glad he got what he deserves and people realized how sick, in a positive way, his skateboarding was and still is. Talking about passion, board control and character - the human coming even close to rodneys level of genius has the be breeded first. For any sport. Period.
