Feels like more AI-inspired inaccurate tosh. Only accurate thing is that Roger Hunt was a class player.

Roger and I were at the same school, Leigh Grammar School, but he was senior to me and I did not really know him. I am proud of this and especially so since he played for my team LIVERPOOL.

Sir Roger was born in Lancashire. I have never ever heard anyone mention Romford in connection with this great man. Whoever is putting this garbage together needs to give their head a serious wobble.

As a youngster I often got complimentary tickets for Liverpool's home games in the early 1960s from a relative who did work for the club. Even though I supported Everton I recall games at Anfield on half -day closing in a Wednesday afternoon during school holidays. Players like Roger, Bert Slater and Tommy Leishman Dick White and Alan A'Court were often in the team. Roger Hunt, like Roy Vernon across the Park often made scoring look straight forward, which It isn't as Everton's recent mangers have found out to their cost. With friends I also recall Tony Hateley score over 20 goals 1967-68 and then sold. Roger was sold after Liverpool lost at home to their bogey team Leicester in the FA Cup in 1969 after he showed great disappointment at being substituted in what was his final game for the Reds Alun Evans and Bobby Graham took his place It the late 1960s Bobby Graham and Ian St John often had a pint in the Farmers Arms in Roscommon Street Everton where my relative lived back then.

Yes, he was a true & loyal son of the City of Liverpool. I saw him play many times with other Anfield greats [St John/ Ron Yates et al ]. Thank you Roger: RIP OUR FRIEND. Never to be forgotten.
