Thanks for this Jesse. I’m one of thousands who have a love for this place even though I’ve never been, there’s something about it that’s just incredible and my wife and I would give anything to have been and lived like Roger for a while 👍

Portrait natural et magnifique. Aventure exceptionnelle. Une très belle vidéo. Vraiment nous espérons être là bas au centre du Pacifique mais malheureusement je suis au Maroc. Alors je suis très très loin et je n'ai pas de bateau.😂

OMGWTFLOL?! No way.... Is that really Bodo, Blackie and Tree?!? Haven't heard their names mentioned yet, but hadn't watched the whole thing yet...I just see them in the thumbnail and the beginning of the video. Never in a million years though, did I think I'd ever see them again!

Most men live lives of quiet desperation. This is what i called a life lived well.

I dunno, for me, being pathetic doesn't sound anymore appealing than being desperate.

I didn't know that people were allowed on Palmyra island after those murders occurred much less live there for 7yrs.

For the first 10 years after the murders, it was seen as a missing persons case, even if everyone suspected the Graham's had been killed. It wasn't officially a murder case until trial in the early 1980s. Anyone else wouldn't have been allowed to live there, but Roger was hired in 1992 by Palmyra's owners to be a permanent resident and keep it as safe as possible. They were more concerned with lawsuits from visiting sailors than anything else (and rightly so).

@@wozwas Very rightly so. People would just show up and camp out. May the Grahams rest in peace. Jennifer Jenkins is living her best life in Hawaii right now.

Any sign of Amelia Earhart?
@wozwas

No sign of her I've heard of, but the TIGHAR team did stopover on Palmyra to refuel in 1998, before going on to Kanton Island to search for wreckage from her aircraft. Photos from their visit are available here: archive.org/details/TIGHAR-Expedition-on-Palmyra-Atoll

Palmyra Atoll is an incorporated territory of the U.S. (it's currently the only incorporated territory), and therefore (unlike other U.S. territories) all of the Constitution applies to it, and people born there are automatically U.S. citizens under the 14th amendment. Given that Palmyra Atoll has no permanent population and access is limited, this issue is unlikely to come up.

Palmyra Atoll is the ONLY place where someone can be automatically born a United States citizen! Everywhere else it MUST be acquired...usually at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and in order to obtain a State issued ID/Driver's license, one MUST LIE ABOUT THE LEGAL NAME'S DATE OF BIRTH. Can anyone explain why this is true? And yes, it is 100% true and easily proven.
