Europe and the Conservative Cause
What is there left of conservatism in a society of material abundance and instant communication, where human relations are fluid, global and without respect for the old boundaries and the old hesitations? Can we find our way back to the spirit of our civilisation, and if not, does it matter?
Professor Sir Roger Scruton, philosopher, novelist and composer gave a lecture on the future of conservatism for the Danube Institute on 19th September 2016, organised in conjunction with Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Professor Ferenc Hörcher responded.
