Big thanks for this review. I went to the shop and tested myself the Yamaha P45, Yamaha P125, Roland FP 10 & Roland FP 30. I decided to buy the Roland FP10 for some reason. Roland feels more nicer on the keys really feels like a piano. Roland sound is better in terms of treble and bass feels more piano to me. Yamaha sustain is too much for me. Roland sustain feels better and accurate in my opinion only. Thanks again! Each individual has each own preference. I used to be a Yamaha fan ever since but this time Roland feels and sounds better.

Update here. I gone with the Yamaha p45. It's been 2 years now. Still like new. No click sound nothing. Just that when recording with my phone it has the key plastic pressing sound which is normal. Other than that. All works perfect. And also 1 thing I didn't like is the speaker the quality isn't that good it's just fine. But the game.changer come. When you plug in headphones. And I do.mean expensive audiophile headphones. It sounds so rich. And warm. If you plug in cheap headphones it sound worse than the speaker. If you plug in good headphones. It sounds amazing. Overall it's well worth purchase. And also the roland at that time was way more expensive and literally over budget.

@@M7MD- well I never seen a Roland in real life. But all I can say is. The sound from the Yamaha speaker is fine. Decent . Can fill a room no problem. The build is solid . Everything is still good but. If you want awesome sound quality u need to have a good headphone plug it into the Yamaha. You will be surprise how much the sound changed. It did for me I use the speakers it didn't sound that great but is ok. Than I swap to headphones it even sound more crappy than the speaker than I swap to a decent like Ath m40x , shp 9500 . Not gaming headphone omg. The sound literally boom. Out of this world. And I can tell the difference between cheap and expensive or decent headphones. No joke. My Yamaha still as good as new. Before you buy go see the review for me I did check up on Roland. Yes they sound good on speaker from KZitem videos and the Bluetooth is nice and all but. Most of them even on forum I seen many and many of them complaining about key lose , or some other problem with the device after few months of use or 1 to 2 year. And my Yamaha still holding up nicely. So choose wisely. Fixing these stuff cost alot of money. Just saying . As goes for the Yamaha at least this model I hardly or even never see problems with it. As for Roland I did though.

@@Peekcasso Hey mate, maybe you could help me out or give me advice. As you've already tested the Roland fp10 within a store and are saying that the sound of it is just fuller and stronger, I can absolutely NOT tell the same about my FP30X. The FP30x has a better speaker system and a better sound engine than the FP10, so I'm therefore very confused. Am I doing smth. wrong? The sound of its in-build speakers are just 'average', there is no fullness or authenticity to hear. So I thought ok, must be the build-in speakers itself. I've connected my FP30x to my 2.1 sound speaker system, which is a high quality sound system - but still: the sound the Roland is producing through my external speakers are still bad and at best average. There is still none of the fullness, you can hear in this video by the Roland FP10. Why is that? Could it be, that the sound is produced and delivered much differently if its connected to a audio-interface? How is this guy able to produce so crystal clear sound of those low budget epianos? How about the clicking noise of the keys? For some reason, none of the reviewers dont mentions this misunderstanding. After a week of using the FP-10, the keys start to click. Here in the States P45 sells for $449 and the FP10 goes for $499, bought the FP10 and have no complaints, more bang for your buck with the FP10. Both are two great entry level pianos.

@@uni8894 I think the Korg B2N looks interesting because it has non-weighted keys, so maybe less likely to have the issues more commonly found on weighted keyboards. But almost NO ONE has written any comments about the Korg B2N. Has ANYONE purchased one? I saw something that said Korg sales are like 4% of the market? If that's true, that's not good.

I recommend you to buy Roland fp10. The keys are much better than Yamaha, (where Roland uses the PHA-4 Standard and has an Ivory feel & Escapement). For sound, Roland is better i think, because they use the "SuperNATURAL Sound Engine" where they produce excellent dynamics and expressions.

@@stephem8 I tried the FP-10 and thought the volume control (lack of) was sort of cheesy and unfortunately the last octave and change is sustained at all times, no sustain pedal pressed, and in fact unplugged just to be sure. Tried factory reset, which was not well documented, but that didn't help. No firmware upgrade. It is going back tomorrow and I say good riddance because I am disappointed, to be sure.

I don't know why, it's "hard" to play play on yamaha's GHS keyboard action, I don't know how to explain that, but it's something weird to play on GHS, GH3 and higher are cool actions. Roland's PHA4 seems much closer to an upright piano action.

The Roland fp10 doesn’t sound so good in the video because it has no line-outs, so they couldn’t record it as well as they could with the Yamaha p45. But really in person the fp10 sounds much more authentic and alive than the p45.

@@jambo7956 That's because the Brazilian Roland Distributor likes to rip-off people and they sell all their gear here for ridiculous prices. The same with Korg and Kawai. Only Casio and Yamaha are reasonable with their prices.
