This is a great tutorial. Maybe the best I’ve seen on this tricky sequencer. Have you tried turning the individual parts off and on as you play a sequence? For example, the first one you recorded, the high arpeggio. Let’s say you wanted to bring this one in later or have it stop and then restart later in your song. I’ve found that on my Juno X, if I turn off and then restart an individual part, they are never in time again. They play on the wrong beat. Of course, you can mute parts with the faders, but then it cuts off the reverb tails as you lower the volume as well. Anyway, if you’ve run across this or perhaps have a solution, I’d love to know your thoughts. Great job!

I should clarify that if I’m accurate enough with my playing, it will be in the right tempo, but it’s like the sequenced pattern starts a beat late. At least for me.

Hi, Steve, I never tried tò mute parts during playback, but I will keep in mind the issue you reported if I will eventually come across this mode. Thank you for your comment!

If you have it on hold will it give continuity to this performance and still work the same?
@malvinusmusic

@Digiphex as far as I remember yes it will, but check it out because I no longer own the Juno X and I can’t check by myself

It is possible that after you put a few notes in a pattern in the Step sequencer, instead of the pattern remaining with the fixed notes, it will work in another scale as well. like an arpeggiator? That is, to move up and down the scale? Because I can't find any function related to Pitch shift or something

Hi, unfortunately I sold the Juno X but, as far as I remember, you should be able to transpose a sequence in the menu Arp Part -> Transpose

hi ! can you help me, please? i made a bass on the left side and in step mode - i playi i arp and it follows the 1 key that i press - everything fine but this bass is 3 semitones lower in i - arp mode but if i stop i arp its on the same normal range with other sounds from the right side. i went to pitch and made it 3 semitones higher to solve the problem . another problem - the bass plays 12 semitones lower in I- arp for no reason

Hi, unfortunately I sold the Juno X hence I can't tell you precisely, but check my video, the answer is in the menus (it's all about key ranges, look at my video step by step)

Does the Juno X have a metronome when recording the step sequencer?

It has a metronome that comes in handy when playing live

Can you please provide me advise on the following: How do I setup the arpeggios on a Juno-X, so that they play independent from each other other multiple keyboard splits? I tried to setup keyboard ranges for each parts, but no matter what I do the arp's do not play independent. Play an arp on one split and it affects the arps on other split. It looks like the arps cannot be separated and are triggered by the entire keyboard, despite the key ranges. Thank you in advance

You can find the solution in the video. Watch it carefully until the end, especially from minute 7:05, where I talk about the Key Range Settings /Arp Common. Let me know!

@@malvinusmusic Can you set the arp common settings for each part separately OR does it apply for all parts together?
@malvinusmusic

@@synthtitan9523 the Arp Common is "common" to all parts, while the Arp Part is per part
