Great tutorial! For anyone wondering, the "Innate" input in spells is for spells you get through other means (for example Tiefling racial spells) and can be cast a set number of times a day regardless of spell slots.

@@encountersmith was a while back now but if I remember correctly the sound went from my left ear to right ear aswell as being higher and lower, and it was happening every other second. Just had a massive burnout so am alot more sensitive to sounds but cant always tell why (as in cant be on buss without propper noicecancelling earphones). Maybe it felt like there were alot of you talking at the same time when it was a difference in volume and direction which made it unbearable

The "Innate" that was skipped at 8:45 was for spells that you have from your race, feats, boons, etc, that can only be cast a certain amount of times per day instead of using spell slots.

Not sure if the charactermancer has been updated or not, but i think its great. There are options to add custom content so you dont need to use the SRD only, makes a lot of the sheet easier and quicker to fill in

Great information delivery and editing the exception is the speed ramping. Setting playback to .9 makes this watchable. The modulation is still there but the random speed ramping is more bearable. You normal pace and cadence are perfectly fine for a tutorial style video

So what I’ve showed here is using the character sheet as normal sheet like in person. You’ll need a phb to know the specifics. BUT Roll20 has majority updated their character sheets and character creator. The character creator should walk you through all of the things your PC gets as they level. New video on that soon. Thanks for your question!

Ok i have a problem, when i try to add a character and i fill the name, the "in the player's journals" and the " can be edited & controlled by" and i click to save changes it doesn't give me the character sheet page, but only the " bio & info " and "attributes and abilities" is it cause i only have the free version??

Double check under the settings for the game that you have chosen a character sheet. If the games doesn’t have a set character sheet you won’t get the option when making a character. Hope that helps but it’s definitely not a paid version thing. Hope that helps!

Great tutorial. I have a question. Some of my players want to try multiclassing for an upcoming roll20 campaign. How can I implement that to roll20 ?
@encountersmith
Жыл бұрын
I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this question! If you haven’t found out already if you hit the purple gear on the front page underneath the basic information it’ll take you to a settings page. Second box down from the left is a box that say multiclass options. There you can put in the new class and how many levels of it. Sorry for the late reply!

Absolutely! When you are creating your game on Roll20 there will be a drop down menu to pick your character sheets for that game and I’m almost positive that they have a 3.5 sheet

Good style. Shame you didn't cover making their own game and vault import / export. Also might be worth pointing out that you are only covering things from a free user's perspective. Plenty of people either have content themselves or have a friendly DM or organisation that can give them a route to use their compendium.

I usually start my sheets with one class but if you multiclass you can manually select the skills you now have proficiency in. Most things you can directly edit number value without the sheet having to calculate anything

no hate but my DM is making us all move from DnDbeyond to Roll20 because of all the WoTC fuckery, and no lie, I actually cried while trying to make a new character using Roll20, even when using Better20 to help build it is such a terrible character sheet by comparison and I'm getting serious anxiety about keeping track of item charges, spell slots, homebrew items etc. Actually the way you have to build homebrew items period in Roll20 is appalling. So many things are calculated or set automatically the first time when building in DnDBeyond, why can't Roll20 be the same!?

@@The-Secret-Dragon I’m sorry that’s happening to you and are finding it difficult. Roll20 has a new dnd character sheet in beta that will be for both 2014 and 2024 5e. Once I’m done playing with it I’ll be making a video on that as well.
