Care for their people In Greece 🇬🇷? You have no idea. Check how many privileges Greek workers have. There was a massive dispute inside the EU,on how Greece is spending money, just a few years ago. Things like extra salary if your office doesn't have air con etc.

@@0ccam5Raz0r How wonderfully naive, voluntary doesn't mean anything when it comes to business, they will pressure people into it and if you don't do it you will wind up without a job and nobody will help you against them. sound like you've never worked a day in your life, its very rare to find a company that wont milk and squeeze every drop of blood from you when they have the ability. The people this impacts most wont be able to say no for fear of losing their income.

We should definitely move to a 4 day week. As someone who does a fair amount of overtime, 6 days takes its toll if it’s not supplement with breaks say every 4 weeks. Productivity will tank the longer 6 days workload continue. It is also a mechanism for not paying OT rates for Saturday and also removes the ability to say ‘not this weekend, I need a break’

Look, the smallprint is that it's voluntary and for up to 40% salary increase. Its also only a 48h week, which most do anyway but are unpaid due to being salaried per year. The worry is it becomes like the oldc2 income family did, where prices increase to incorporate everyone earns more so things can be more expensive.

The smallprint my little bud is the fact that the vast majority of Greek workers already work 6 days, many times even 7 days. The government just wants to make it official, because in Greece, on paper workers work 5 days or 3-4 days 4 hours, but in the reality is they work 10-12 hours 6-7 days.

Of course they will be payed according the regulations for overtime work! I.e. more money than regular. The wages in Greece are relatively low so some people will have the opportunity to make some extra money If they want to. Noone will be forced to work more for the same pay. What's so terrible about it? Please do your homework before you spread such false information!
