Jonathan ; I have the 75mm 3.5 MX-EVS with the 10 blade aperture , it is superb , no meter , and the rare Wide Rollei DISTAGON 55mm F4 with meter in an E model , the meter still is accurate too. Both are superb. The Wide Rollei makes absolutely gorgeous sharp images.

Another great camera and video. I have the 2.8f but would have preferred the 3.5 for the 75mm lens.

It’s a difficult choice! Personally I prefer the f3.5 because it’s slightly lighter but would still be very happy with the f2.8!

Thank you Jonathan, great video as usual. How do you compare this to the 3.5T. I have the T version (in Grey) with great working condition, but I am thinking of getting the 3.5 for its Planar lens. Thanks!

I don’t think you’ll sell a significant optical difference. The Rolleiflex T is a great camera, just not as solidly built as the standard Rolleiflex.

@@WorldwideCameraExchange thanks for the prompt reply, and feedback. How is built translate into longevity? I understand T is lighter, and I have been using it quite regularly since I purchased it last year. Should I expect it to have a higher probability of failure compared to the 3.5F/E? Or does it mean it would require a more care/gentle handling? Cheers

The pro spec Rolleiflex cameras were designed for heavy professional use. Virtually nobody uses film cameras in that way today. A Rollei T will last forever if you look after it, don’t hammer it, and service it regularly.

I own a 2.8E3 and have an affinity for the non-selenium Rollei’s, as they’re fully mechanical. You might have forgotten to mention its self-timer and ability to shoot double exposures however.

Never ever use self timer on old cameras that wasnt CLAd recently. Its redeipe to get shutter mechanism jammed on any compur-eqipped film camera. If you need this feature just add external one throug bulb remote release socket.

@telecomprofi thanks - good advice! Sometimes a gentle shake will encourage the self timer if it sticks, but, as you say, they can jam the shutter if not working correctly.
