Every time I listen to Moll, I can't get over how beautiful the voice is in every register, how legato the phrases are....he never barks those high notes, either, like so many bassi profundi. The voice is even from top to bottom...listen to that high entrance at 3'36--so easy and beautiful. And his coloratura is again, so EASY and clean! Everything is connected, musical, and look at his eyes shining! Sigh...my hero!

Musical perfection PLUS the joy just bursting through all of it ... his joy and love just carries one entirely away ... it's like we walked in on the most beautiful moment of his entire life, and he makes us welcome as he sings to us all about it in his magnificent voice, his eyes shining, his sweet smile breaking out from time to time ...

Vielen Dank!

The gorgeous, even, agile voice from the highs to the lows, the loud to the soft... but even that is not even enough to describe how great this is... it is his love for singing and pure joy ... his shining eyes, his smile coming through at almost every moment when his mouth did not have to have another shape... the little head wiggle with the shape of the music at 3:54 ... the very last image of his face, fading away with a satisfied smile ... he shared not only his voice and his perfect mastery of it, but his love and joy in using it for this glorious piece!

I've just looked and listened again. What stands out about this performance is not just the musical and technical mastery, but the sheer love engendered by Haydn's gorgeous score. Here, it's caressed into being, totally in keeping with the message this work conveys.
