I’d argue that his int/edu should be higher. Straight A student at Arasaka Academy. That, without coming from a corpo family? Kid has brains, just doesn’t really know how to keep his hot-headedness from landing him in hot water.

Thing is that made me lean towards it being lower is he still was only in school, and he was not taking it serious anymore. I initially put it at 3, but bumped it to 4 to be balanced with Tech. He isn't as dumb as a brick, but he needed a flaw too.

I think David has Chipware Socket(s) instead of Interface Plugs. Chipware Sockets are the USB slots located on the neck, an Interface Plug is the one with the wire that usually located in the palm or wrist that you use to connect to a machine with.

Pretty amusing and interesting video, i do like the idea of making a "david" build, it sounds fun My players at the table all saw edgerunners and looking at the implants in the book, we discussed the sandevistan. Even if it could be used in a pretty effective way with the book's rules, i still declared that i wanted to homebrew one that has a closer effect to the series. My take is to make it allow his user to activate it at any moment before an ally or an enemy make a reaction during a turn, if he does, he loses 7 humanity points and then can execute one bonus action, the player is then moved to the bottom of the initiative queue. The day after, the player recovers half of the humanity points rounded up that he lost the day before while using the sande. All of this followed by a system where the user gets some minor passive making him easier to use the sandevistan if he had it for a while. I have the feeling that it's kinda broken... I mean the sande kinda is in the series. But the easy and fast loss of humanity makes up for it in my opinion. Especially if you decide to get other cyberware... In another way, it does make you way more lethal... I do think it's a fun combination of something dangerous, rewarding and greedy That said, nice video!

I still would lean for it having a physical penalty, like lowering HP. I thought about that but for this video I kept it RAW so anyone could do this without homebrew.

@@DiceTTRPG to give more relation to the idea of hp loss. In the cyberpunk 2077 time dilation overhaul + wannabe edgerunner (cyberpsychosis mod) when you use the sandy you have a bleed for 5 seconds costing hp and the more you use it, the more humanity you lose to your humanity pool.

David can't drive, but he sure as hell knows how to fly an AV off the edge. His AV might have been a Skeleton, but that doesn't mean he couldn't control it all the same.

I was trying to create a cp77 sandy and this is what I came up with. -Can be toggled ON at the beginning of their turn. The user Rolls 1d6 Humanity Loss each time it is toggled ON. While Toggled ON user gains DEX + 2 and MOVE + 4. -Secondary DV: 10 or 12 While Toggled ON, at the end of their turn, user rolls WILL + Endurance + 1d10 to keep It toggled ON. IMO this has high to medium risk for high reward. The only issue is it doesn't exactly line up with rules as written. toggling it on could easily be seen as an action. so that part would be on you as a GM to determine if you'll allow it or not. Let me know what you think.

I try to keep it RAW with these builds. I have a houserule for a Sandevistan, and don't expect others to go with it. If you activate it before combat, it functions as normal. If you activate it in combat, you just jump up 1 spot in the Initiative order. No bells, no whistles, just makes the speed count.

I believe those may be Smart Lens, aka smart contact lens similar to an AR projection. Claire from 2077 has them too but she describes herself as wholly ganic. But good eye on that, it was one of the hard choices I had to make in the build.
@b-ec9lo

@@DiceTTRPG That is cool. I mean, Smart Lens are still pretty good for it since one slot can def be taken by it. I recommend that for anybody reading this and wanting it later on. Upgrading them is also a pretty good choice for Anti-Dazzle slot.

I recommend getting the rules of the game down first before going to pick up these two VTTs. There is no automation, and they'll add an even bigger learning curve for you. Spend time first making sure you got the rules for Red down and comfortable before spending extra money on software.
