@@EdwinCannistraci I feel like I'm listening to a different DW. I do love the Keith songs. Something that continued until this new record. I think Jagger pulled it out for this one. Favorite vocals since side 2 of TY. Andrew Watt is a massive Stones fan so that wasn't the problem. I will say the vinyl sounds alot better than the streaming. It was mixed for it and the premium streaming services sound alot better than Standard Definition or the CD. Quite different actually.

I’ve made by own EP’s recently, first I’ve made one from the new tracks from the Forty Licks compilation: 1 - Don’t Stop 2 - Keys to Your Love 3 - Stealing My Heart 4 - Losing My Touch Also made one from the recent Goats Head Soup release. 1 - Scarlet 2 - All the Rage 3 - Criss Cross Finally, made one from the lockdown song and added two tracks from the GRRR! Compilations: 1 - Living in a Ghost Town 2 - Doom and Gloom 3 - One More Shot Pretty cool custom eps. I think these cover off the tracks that were not mentioned in your video.

Dirty Work I would agree is the most underrated of their records. Upon first discovery of the Stones, I avoided DW due to its reputation, and was so surprised when I actually heard it. There is so much quality on there - raw, visceral stuff like One Hit, Dirty Work and Had it with You. The 80s soul of Winning Ugly is a favourite (prob alone in saying that), Harlem Shuffle, and the reggae gem Too Rude. Sleep Tonight, not as wonderful as 1989s Slipping Away, but a very good track nonetheless. The only one I dont enjoy is Hold Back. A bit of a barking, tuneless mess. Loud, raucous (like One Hit & Fight) but under-written.

Edwin, on live albums, what is your opinion of Stripped? That's my 2nd favorite "live" album. Got Live If You Want It is horribly produced but I actually like what I hear, performance-wise. I wish I've Been Loving You Too Long and Fortune Teller were without the screaming crowd as it was obvious they were studio songs. Flashpoint is a pretty solid live album. Love You Live, to be fair, has it's hits (all of side 4 is great and side 3 is fun) and it's misses. Still Life had some great moments, too, but you only have a single album of some messy performances. I think they would've shot themselves in the foot if they made it a double live album. Beast Of Burden (the B side to Going To A Go-Go) is actually pretty good. I'd trade Just My Imagination for that but I'm just a fan, not the member of any committee. I'm glad you talked of the Singles collection. Sad Day and Who's Driving My Plane make it worth the price.

I dig Stripped. Great setlist with a lot of deep tracks and a nice vibe for a Sunday afternoon. My second favorite Stones live album, however, is Brussel's Affair. My third favorite is actually Still Life. I know it's kind of messy sounding but the setlist is fresh, I like the energy and I prefer the shorter live albums sometimes. It's like a shot of high-energy rock 'n' roll -- bam! -- in and out.

Great opening with "I'm Going Down." Someone else said it's nice hearing someone not bashing later Stones albums. I agree. I was 10 when I got into them, 11 when Tattoo You came out, so all the albums after that, for me, have the excitement of "A New Rolling Stones Album Is Coming Out!!!" I think you may be right about the album cover of Dirty Work affecting our thoughts on it. Maybe I should give it another spin. For me, it's last. I like some songs on it, but something about it just turns me off. On the other side of that, I love Undercover, lol. I can handle their reggae tunes, but I know what you mean. Keith is really into reggae, as is Ronnie, so I think it's heartfelt, but they're not their best performances. I do credit them with turning me onto blues, funk, soul, country, AND reggae (Jimmy Cliff, Toots & the Maytals, Desmond Dekker, Peter Tosh). I agree about the Steel Wheels production, but it's okay. One of their weaker efforts since Tattoo You. Funnily enough, two of my favorite Stones guitar solos were played by Wayne Perkins (Hand of Fate and Worried About You). I never got into Bridges too much, but like some it. I agree that after Tattoo You and especially after Steel Wheel, they just put out Rolling Stones sounding rock & roll records, and it's easy to hear that Mick had a little too much say on Bridges. I love Voodoo Lounge when it came out and Bigger Bang, but as the years have gone by, I think both albums could benefit from a little fat trimming. Still their best, and solid, later efforts. I know it's not a studio album, but Stripped is mentionable because of them doing great new acoustic takes on older tracks. Blue and Lonesome is great also. I'm still hopeful for one more from them even though the last couple of songs they've out out, Doom and Gloom and Ghost Town(?) didn't do a lot for me and sounded more like Mick songs than Keith songs. For as many times as I heard you say "Goat Head Soup" as opposed to "Goats Head Soup," you're one of the only people I've heard say "Honky Tonk Women" instead of the incorrect "Honky Tonk Woman" so bravo for that! I wore Through the Past Darkly out as a kid. Anyway, thanks for another great video. Really well done.

Tattoo You is indeed a great album. I still like Some Girls but both albums are stronger than Emotional Rescue, Black And Blue and It's Only Rock And Roll. I always considered Steel Wheels a good comeback album. It's the 2nd album to include lyrics (the tradition began on the prior album Dirty Work). Dirty Work was an album we had to be patient for. The Stones promised us a new album since 1984. Good job, once again, Edwin! PS Although I like Continental Drift (I appreciate your correcting yourself), I had to laugh when you said Keith wouldn't go anywhere near it! PPS Have You Seen Your Mother was actually on Flowers beforehand. But yes, Jumping Jack Flash is on Through The Past as is the hit version of Honky Tonk Women. The US and UK versions of each album are drastically different as I think High Tide in the UK includes Little Red Rooster (one of their best covers and a must-listen-to for all Stones fans, serious or casual).

Although I did turn a few people onto "I'm Going Down", so there's always that. ;-)

I'm done with the Red now and starting on Johnnie Walker Black. It's not the Double but I am getting there. When I was young and not so smart, I used to think that Emotional Rescue and Dirty Work were their worst albums. But as I got older it got harder to find new music. So a decade ago I bought Rescue and learned it was not bad after all. I bought Dirty when it came out ~ the FIRST Stones CD. It sat on my shelf and got played about twice a year at most and sometimes not at all. Then a few years ago, when I would write reviews on Amazon, I had to listen to it to write about it. And guess what, I got into it. Now I think Wheels is their worst album, at least since 1964. It it not bad, but it is boring. There are only 2 songs on it that I like; Rock and Sigh. I think Work has the 2 worst Stones songs ever; Winning Ugly and Back To Zero. But I do not see anything wrong with the cover, except its clean image has nothing to do with the dirty music inside it. Undercover and Tattoo have always been favorites with Undercover being my second most played behind only Goats.

Turn that up a bit, listen again, and let me know. Vocals and music are both great. I don't know any Stones fan who doesn't like that one. If you are the first, what is it missing? To me, MAYBE it's missing that 'happier' vibe or kind of feeling folks get from songs like Brown Sugar or Sympathy but that's subjective and didn't affect me.
