In the last two example moment of inertia wil be 2/5×(mr^2). But you wrote 1/2 × mr ^ 2. That is, it will be the moment of inertia of the sphere. Even after that the playtist was awesome. We have learned a lot from Khan Academy.

In case of rolling without slipping work done or dessipative energy against friction is zero bcoz there is no relative motion between body and surface at the point of contact. So we can apply mechanical energy conservation.

yes,you are right that there is external force acting on the cylinder.As a result there must be mentioned that no external forces are acting on it
