i watched twice and finally understand how before delete trigger flow works. That means we only include the opportunities which will not be deleted and recalculate the total amount. Thanks!

Nice one!! I have couple of questions 1. Will our flow works when we update an account ID on opp to different Account ID? 2.what if the transction got rolled back when user deletes the record and record hasn't been deleted yet? Thanks...

Hi, can you provide a tutorial on how to create a trigger flow to automatically create month on month a revenue schedule, or just even how to create a trigger every month to create a record? Im trying to create a flow that will trigger every month and create a line of revenue in the revenue schedule.

Why you don't used another assignment element to store collection variable of the opportunities? I am confused because in other scenarios after loop we use two assignment logic one which store single variable another which store collection variable. Here you only use single variable. why not another assignment to store collection variable of opportunities. Please help me on this

How can we achieve for the scenario such as "When we undelete the Opportunity record from Recycle bin then the Amount in Opportunity record should get Added in the Total Amount field on Related Account" with the help of flow?

Hello. Interesting approach. There is only one concern: how it behaves with an update on many records at once? Is it not efficient because you are looping through the same records multiple times. Moreover: if there is a batch that is updating all records in the org... you would see problems with lock errors. I have noticed that problem in my org and thinking about the best approach and want to avoid using apex trigger. Have you noticed that kind of problem?

For instance: You have Parent - child1, child2, child3, child4 - if you update all children you will execute the same calculation 4 times. I am looking for a solution in Flow to avoid that problem because of some lock and CPU time exceeded exeptions

Hi thanks for the video I have one doubt how the flow will react when there is change in field of that opportunity but amount has not be changed. I believe the flow will run , how I can achieve that the flow should only run when the amount field changes not on every change on the opportunity

This is a great video. Thank you for sharing it! Let's say there is only one opportunity with an amount of $1,000. A custom currency field exists on the account that totals the sum of all opportunities. If I delete the only opportunity that exists, how do you update the custom currency field on the account to $0? In my testing using the build in this video, the $1,000 remains as-is on the custom currency field on the account when it should be $0.

Hello, First of all, thank you so much for your comment and I tried this and it's working fine for me. In before delete record triggered we are checking no of opp by get record element and if there is no opp then we are simply assigning 0 to it. Please check and let me know if you need more help.

@@salesforcegeek I tried again and now it's working! Another option I got working was to add an assign step to count the opps after getting the opps. I used an IF statement on a currency formula field to update the custom currency field if the amount of all opps is greater than $0 after the opp is deleted or $0 if the opp count is 0. This approach allowed me to use one update element with the currency formula field instead of the variable. Thank you for the prompt response!
