DEAR THE DIARY OF THE CEO, YOU OFTEN ASK FOR A LIKE FOR THE CHANNEL TO GROW WHICH IS A FAIR ENOUGH REQUEST! BUT I FEEL YOU DONT ADDRESS THE COMMENTS ENOUGH PERSONALLY , WHICH I CAN UNDERSTAND IS A DAUNTING TASK HAVING TO SIFT THROUGH EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY COMMENT ... ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE . HENCE THE NEED FOR CAPITAL LETTERS. BUT MY FAVOUR FROM YOU IS TO ASK YOU TO HAVE A GUEST ON TO TALK ABOUT RACISM AT LARGE. SOMEONE WHOS NEITHER FAR LEFT OR FAR RIGHT PARTICULARLLY TO DO WITH BLACK PEOPLE AND BLM. IM A YOUNG WHITE BRITISH MAN AND AM STRUGGLING TO SEE THE FAR WIDE MAJOR ISSUE, AND IF IM REALLY AND TRULY HONEST .... NEVER BEEN RACIST BEFORE IN MY LIFE BUT I FEEL ALOT OF WHITE PEOPLE ARE (NOW) BECOMING THAT WAY TOWARDS BLACK PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THE WHOLE BLM MOVEMNT! WHICH I CAN DEEPLY EMPATHISE WITH ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE. FOR EXAMPLE IF ANY WHITE PERSON SAYS IM NOT A RACIST, THEY GET HIT WITH A RACIST WOULD SAY THAT. OR YOU HAVE YOUR WHITE PRIVELLGE YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND. IF YOU SAY I HAVE MANY BLACK FREINDS, WHAT EVER THE CASE MAYBE , YOU GET SHOT DOWN WHEN PEOPLE SAY ALL LIVES MATTER YOU GET THROWN UNDER THE BUS AND TOLD (WE NEVER SAID THEY DIDNT WERE JUST STATING BLACK LIVES MATTER)!!!!! I WAS RECENTLY IN A DEBATE WERE SOMEONE THOUGHT I WAS VERY NAIVE FOR QUOTING PEOPLE.SUCH AS BOB DYLAN , BEFORE I HAD A CHANCE TO SPEAK HE PATRONISINGLY SAID I SUPPOSE YOUR GOING TO TELL ME ABOUT 'BLOWING IN THE WIND' PUT YET ENDED WITH DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED 🤷♂️ IVE SEEN MANY FILMS SUCH AS 12 , YEARS A SLAVE , AMERICAN HISTORY X , CASS ...ETC ETC ETC ETC IVE LISTENED TO ALL SORTS OF SONGS SUCH FROM ALL WORKS OF LIFE NOTIABLY NEIL YOUNG - SOUTHERN MAN MARVIN GAYE - WHATS GOING ON BRUCE HORNSBY - JUST THE WAY IT IS MICHAEL JACKSON - JUST THE WAY IT IS JAMES BROWN - FUNKY PRESIDENT PUBLIC ENEMY - WE GOT GAME I COULD GO ON ..... I HAVE ALSO INTERGRATE WITH A LARGE DIVERSE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE AND HAVEN'T LIVED IN A BOX ALL MY LIFE ! FOR EXAMPLE THE MAIN SISTERS ON THE WARDS ALMOST MORE THAN 30 YEARS AGO IN HOSPITALS WERE BLACK AND IRISH ... IS THAT NOT PROGRESS ? SLAVERY IS ABOLISHED WE ALL HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AND OPPURTUNITES AND I BELIEVE WE ARE ALL SEEN AS EQUALS IN THIS DAY AND AGE REGARDELSS OF RACE ,COLOUR ,RELIGION ETC ETC OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN QUOTE SOME COUNTRIES THAT ARENT BUT I BELIEVD BRITIAN AS A WHOLE IS A GOOD EXCEPTING COUNTRY. WE CAN TALK ABOUT THE WINDRUSH SOCIETY , BANARDOS CHILEREN , LIVE AID ETC ETC ETC. BUT WHAT IM STRUGGLING TO UNDERSTAND IS WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND HOW CAN IT BE RESOLVED , ALOT OF ALL I SEE NOW IS ALOT OF FAR LEFT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LOVE EVERYONE AND BE PEOPLE PLEASERS AND AS SOON AS SOMETHING NONE PC IS UTTERED (DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO IT ANYMORE) OR THE FLIP SIDE OF THE COIN IS YOU HAVE ALOT OF ANGRY DISGRUNTLED YOUNG BLACK PEOPLE RAGING AND LARGE AMOUNT OF WHITE PEOPLE SECRETLY RAGING INSIDE BECAUSE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ! RACISM IS EVERYWHERE TO A DEGREE ,BEING JUDGEMENTAL AND MAKING ASSUMPTIONS IS EVERYWHERE AND IN ALL OF US .....IM EVEN GUESSING SOME PEOPLE HAVENT MADE IT THIS FAR AND HAVE TUNED OUT AND MADE UP THERE OWN ASSUMPTIONS! SO IN A NUT SHELL I ENJOY WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL AND THE MAIN BEST QUALITY ABOUT YOU IS YOU LISTEN AND REFLET AND YOU HAVE A GREAT PLATFROM FOR DEEP THINKERS AND PEOPLE WILLING TO LEARN !!!!!!!!!! ALSO BEING A SUCCESFUL MAN OF BLACK ORIGINS YOURSELF WITH A CALM AND COOLING DEMEANOUR ID LIKE FOR YOU TO ORGANISE SOME SORT OF DEBATE BETWEEN BLACK PEOPLE AND OTHERS WHO ARE WILLING TO HAVE THE BALLS TO ADMIT THEY DONT SEE IN SOCIETY AT LARGE A MAJOR ISSUE AND A DEEP LONG CONVERSATION ABOUT IT , TOUCHING ON THE PAST BUT MORE PRESENTLY THE PRESENT AND WHERE WE TEND TO GO IN THE FUTURE. BECAUSE WITH ALL THE ANIMOSTY AND WHAT I BELIEVE FROM WHAT IM SEEING IS ALOT OF YOUNG IMPRESSIONABLE MINDS BECOMING SERIOUSLY MENTALLY ILL AND BECOMING DANGEROUSLY OUT OF CONTROL IF NOT ADRESSED SOON! KIND DEGARDS AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU OR ANYONE SOON (P.s romesh sorry to drop it on your moment 🤣 and was an insightful in look to your life)

Romesh for what it's worth if you're reading this, I've never heard my dad laughing so much in my 28 years of life than when he was watching one of your shows. I think a lot of us have that voice but it's great to know we are not alone. I think it is because of this voice (among other things) that has made religion so prevalent throughout history as a coping mechanism for it. I can't begrudge anyone's religion when its purpose is to heal/sooth the voice and keep us content/happy like "normal" folk

I might be off kilter with this but it’s coming from a place of sympathy for those suffering with a negative disposition. I want to lean into Transactional Analysis as a scaffold and suggest that we have three ego states to which we might be cathected : child, parent or adult (please checkout their respective characteristics for your own clarity). If your propensity is towards cathextion to your child ego state under moments of discord and your early life experience is somewhat fraught then this might lead to an understanding why you’re caught in the anxious state that’s typically attributable to a scared, fractious child despite your adult or parent state trying to remind you to not be so worried. Your inner child is insecure and doesn’t trust and doesn’t listen to your inner parent or inner adult to help you stay calm and positive. This might not be a solution for you but for me it gave me a starting point to build on and I hope that it will maybe give you some help.❤

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it kzitem.infoUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

Listening to this the second time, because there are so many things a middle class Asian can relate to. What Romesh might perceive his dad as "very bad with money", it was possible that he spent all his money on his family that he went broke, and still came home to a nagging wife and an entitled kid with tantrums (my interpretation to relate to it, based on other things mentioned in this talk). That's what happened with my dad and how I treated him, he was hanging by the edge making ends meet and all hell tipped over in the family once he went down with a heart problem.

His description of why he didn't put so much weight on stereotypical success, is the same reason Jim Carrey gives for not trying to take a "safe job" and to go for his highest dreams instead. Because his dad took a safe job and ended up getting fired and everything falling apart. So he realized hey if you can fail at the safe job that you don't want, you might as well take a chance at what you DO want.

@@kendallstark4302 I guess it depends on your perspective. I share a very similar heritage to Romesh. I found the BTS funny because of him giving shade to his father and the interactions between his mother and wife. The stand-up felt a bit different to his previous material. A colleague of mine who saw the tour live was disappointed because his material changed. She's quite clean cut and most probably liked the "cleaner" stuff that he previously did while on the Netflix show it seemed to be a bit more edgy and sexual. I guess we all have our own perspectives and opinions. However, I loved this interview. Unlike other panel show interviews, it really got under the skin and you really got to know him.

The tragedy of most comedian geniuses is that there is this inner demon that on one hand condemns the person but on the other hand lends to that special dissonance in thought patterns and perspectives such that it comes out really funny in the ears of the general others. Romesh, if you're reading this I just need you to know that your inner voice is partly an indication that you're an absolute genius... it's bloody obvious enough from the quality of your jokes.

These are awesome questions and a great, down-to-earth interview. You really listen to your guest here rather than talking to fill the space, and that gives so much more room to actually get to know the person. You've earned a subscriber!

Would love to see some round table type episodes with several guests having a conversation/discussing different things (maybe people that have already been on)
