In most applications you want to have some fast perking gravel (and a sediment barrier or landscape fabric) to drain right behind the retaining wall to prevent the freeze/thaw pushing your block wall around causing gaps - but I do remember that your soil was quite sandy there at your place - so maybe it's not a big deal. Also, any cut pieces should be in field, not in corners or edge on the house in this case - as these can get pushed more easily. Other than that - it's not rocket science - keep up the great videos - we all enjoy watching them !!!!

Thanks for sharing. A bit old school, so a single layer system like that is a bit unnerving. I will be interested in how this performs long term. How that patch material he used on the seams holds up outside. Especially in your cold climate :). Screw pops?? If it holds up, it looks awesome.

The lead times aren't don't have to do with the company, it has to do with the incompetent government that is shutting down our fuel supplies, tying up our ports with over regulation and mismanagement and generally doing everything they can to bring america to a standstill. It doesn't matter how many employees you have if you can't get the materials needed to build them. Lets also not forget that most of these materials now come from outside the country due to over regulation. Imagine if we entered another world war (which they seem to be pushing for) with no raw material or production being done in the united states?

The roof terrace is a gateway. Now you will just be inviting danger and leisure. There will soon be refrigeration, fans, Big screen LCD, awnings and "accoutrements". It will never stop. My god how risky it is in America to offer such a feature. I am sure you are breeding jealousy and coveting. Next thing you will be building a slide and plunge feature. Not for recreation of course; but a evacuation route if need ever be. So you suggested 'secretly' a paid fund raiser for a first Annual Cremona Picnic WoodFest and tent fest using the fields behind. $200 per person kids under 6 $50. Using a worthy charity they can cover the insurance and org with vendors entertainers- likely an easy >$200k weekend. I will be among the many RSVP

The blocks you are using should be heavy enough to avoid what happened to my retaining wall which was probably stacked a few rows higher then yours. I drove a bob cat machine close to the edge of my wall once it was completed and the weight of the machine caused the ground time sink enough where the retaining wall was now leaning inward. I later discovered that when stacking walls over 2 feet high it was recommended to install something in between the rows as you go up. The product that was recommended to me was a plastic fabric that gets buried behind the wall and once the dirt covers this fabric it helps hold the wall from tilting inward should any heavy equipment be driven close to the edge of the wall. Something to consider with your wall is do not drive your handler close to the wall once its completed.
