Joe Alt played RT, QB, tight end, and also LB at one point.. hes only played LT for 2 years. He could easily switch back to RT which he played in high school.

You're a little off. Alt started the final 8 games at LT in his 1st year. He only played RT his 1st year because there were injuries everywhere at the OL position. He was a TE in HS and Notre Dame recruited him as a big TE expecting he will outgrow the position and become a decent OL. ND staff did not expect him to show up on campus at over 300 lbs and certainly didn't expect him to become what he is today. He's a true LT with that freakish size and athleticism. It would be foolish for Harbaugh to keep him at RT.

Most average fans were upset when the Chargers took him with the 5th pick. Not going to lie, I wanted Malik Nabers too but realized that with Harbaugh and Roman building this team it would be a tackle. He is the best tackle that was available and like most have stated he will be a perineal all-pro in his career. What are the chances Roman draws up a little tackle eligible play for Joe in the end zone? Haha, that would be sweet.

Seems like a great kid and a solid A grade pick for this team and its desired physical, cultural direction. Harbaugh said he wants to use his O line as a weapon. He is off to a great start with this line.

Its a great pick for our LA Chargers, i think Joe Alt & Justin Herbert are going to be great best friends for alot of years , fishing, bbq & golfing together but most importantly is that we have to pass protect & run that fuckn ball. ⚡️⚡️⚡️🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🌩🌩🌩⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️lets go LOS CHARGERS ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🌩🌩🌩🌩⚡️⚡️

Colin - I know you have been a Justin Herbert "fan", since day 1 of his first season. His talent is obvious, but I think you will see him with more time in the pocket next season, thanks to an O-Line that can keep him upright with time to find open receivers!

@@thegolfingmusician6345 fair. But those are apples to oranges. Taylor Lewan said it’s super difficult, and you’re doing everything opposite. Like re-learning how to be a righty after being a lefty all your life. It’s worth noting Taylor Lewan, who was a multiple pro bowler at LT said it was impossible for him to get it.
