So........ who do I have to kill to be allowed to do that?!?!?!?!? I used to be in the outdoor industry and as part of that I used to construct high ropes courses, but this is a whole new level and if my back would let me I'd be on that without a seconds thought!!!! Actually forget the back, I want to be on that NOW and the adrenaline will take care of the pain..... I might not be able to stand for the next month but it would be soooooo worth it!!! 😊😍😊😍😊😍😊

@@adamgaulin7821 this was more of a "how is it set up" question mate. Clearly your not going to put your techs on a beam with an open end. I just can't see the system properly. I'm a level 3 myself and always looking outside of the box fror construction jobs. Never seen these setups before, but ours is a different environment. Could definetely work though. I love the setup clipping the binas on too btw. Neat.

It’s rated, and was Pull tested prior to us getting on. We would never get on anything that we didn’t have the paperwork for. But it’s definitely a unique design.
Rope access is statistically safer than using a ladder or driving a car. Follow the rules and you will be fine.

I have to laugh when I see the hard hat. Like that will do anything to help if her gear fails.

If one line was to fail you could have a swing into the wall. Or have something dropped from above as well.
@drp1bb856
Жыл бұрын
@@adamgaulin7821 if she swings it won’t be head first. It will be the front, back, left or right side of her body. If anything drops from above her it won’t be severe unless she’s working on the 10th to bottom floor. Additionally, if it’s a significant piece again the helmet won’t do much.

Hi. I'm a rope tech. The hard hat is mainly to protect from falling objects, as others have said. There are safe practices to avoid dropping anything, but in case something does get dropped, it could save your life. A carabiner (or even a pebble from the roof kicked up by an uncontrolled rope) dropped from even just a few floors above you becomes a lethal projectile. IRATA requires that we wear hard hats. Although IRATA isn't law where I work, we follow its recommendations because we value our safety very highly.
