I'm watching a genius that played straight from the heart ..This type of musicianship is rare..Forget tricks and speed and so-called power playing...What your looking at here can not be learned from a book or video ..this is true art ..R.I.P Rory

For me this track and this particular performance of it is the very essence of Rory and his tight band. His solo pulls incredibly moving sounds out of his battered Strat and equally battered amps and nothing more than a treble booster for effects, the rest all coming from his fingers. What a legacy he left behind that we can still enjoy.

I loved every single lineup that Rory every played with, they were all top of the list musicians, If I was pushed for an answer I would say that those 4 boys were at the top of my list. Brilliant Rod de'Ath drummer, Brilliant pinest and keyboard player Lou Martin, Brilliant Gerry McAvoy the bass player and what word could I use to praise Rory, there are not words good enough to fully express the sheer brilliants of this man.

Minute 6.50 to 7.30, Rory plays the most incredible out-of-this-world solo which I suspect is out of the reach of most guitarists except maybe the flamenco guys like Paco de Lucia. Talk about being in the zone!!! What zone is that?!!!

No doubt that Rory is talented. A joy to watch. The studio version of this song is a favorite. Additionally, the true measure of a talented drummer is how he can take a small kit and set it on fire. Like Mike Shreaves doing Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock with Santana, Rory's drummer makes the best of a limited number of drum heads. A small band, with very big sound.

Quel solo nel taschino da Pub Irlandese era pronto da 10 anni. Salta un microfono e parte. E parte il più bel solo della storia della musica moderna. Con il massiccio Rod a menare le danze.
