@@alexstroud4665 This sounds like a joke, but no lie, one time we bought three *18"* pizzas for a hangout with five people, eight slices per pie. Three of us got three slices, one of us got two, and the last one ate an entire pie and half of the other *by himself,* and then *_denied doing it._* I've also seen the same man eat literally -- *_literally_* -- three full inches worth of Pringles in one bite. Motherfucker barely even chewed. Now, every time we hang out, if he reaches for the chips or something, I make a point of looking away. As a group, we've also made a point of only picking up one or two twelve-inchers if we get pizza. P.S; Also, one time we stopped at a Burger King in town on the way home, he got two double Whoppers and a poutine. The rest of us had finished eating, and he was opening the second Whopper when we chimed in and got him to put it away so we could get home. "Yeah, I guess I should save this for later" he says. Then we get back to the apartment building, get inside, and he's *_finished eating the second burger before we've even reached the damn apartment._* The Burger King was literally _five minutes away from the building. _*_Less if you didn't get any red lights._*

@gabrielledickinson4530

Part of the reason I did not care for that episode. It seemed out of character for both of them. Using this episode as an example for Jake. It would be odd for someone who doesn't want kids to use the word "yet" when referring to not having any unless they were trying to avoid an argument with a preachy parent, which Terry is not. Also, no way in Hell would Amy get married without making sure they are on the same page about kids, shit I am not nearly as mature as her and I won't enter any sort of committed relationship without making my stance on kids clear.

@@gabrielledickinson4530 same!! The very “either we have kids or I walk” stance without any room for discussion was so harsh for Amy, even if it was a pre marriage conversation. @heathersmith4042

@@kris778 The way they handled it too, by making it into a weird debate style with a moderator- I get it was supposed to be comedy, but at a certain point you have to stop forcing comedy. Some people's line in the sand really is having kids, so if that's really how Amy felt, then her ultimatum is fair. Demanding Jake air his extremely personal reasons on the spot, in the format she wanted, in front of an audience? That wasn't fair, or funny. I really wish they hadn't gone the stereotypical route here, and Jake had been able to convince Amy that they were better suited to fostering a teenager, or being active in groups for foster kids. It felt like his concerns were just blown off when those are real concerns a ton of people have about themselves.

Yes, talking about it will make things feel good BUT you can also NOT talk about it and just have a beer and sit in silence with your friends who's your best support system. I love how Jake suggested the first one but did not push any further when Rosa said she doesn't want to. I know it isn’t the same but there was this brandished gun incident at the store I worked at, a week after the El Paso Walmart shooting, like he tried to be a copycat on that or something. Working the registers, I didn’t know what was going on but a bunch of angry people. Three hours later, I found out. There are people there I was friends with for years that I would have lost and never known about it because of the lack of communication. If you had a walkie talkie, you’d at least know what was going on. I think the only thing I found on it was something like “the managers made sure everyone was out, employees included” like no, but alright. The managers asked the customers to either leave or checkout all at the same time immediately. In relation to this, time goes slow when it’s happening and even slower when you know that it’s happening. Idk if it’s slower when it’s someone else you cannot see in front of you. It is portrayed really well, trying to comfort each other without bringing it up, putting on a brave face in all the nervousness and uncertainty, and the wait. That silence not knowing someone’s okay is actually so loud and haunting. Even in a comedy, you see the coping mechanisms of trying to keep your cool, saying lighter things to keep your mind off. I don’t wish this for almost anyone ❤️
