Once in a while someone from the Hollywood community dispels the prevalent impression that actors are just self-absorbed egos. Rosalind Russell stands out as that exception -- a class act with a heart that embraced the humanity around her. She was an amazing and inspiring person. In her acceptance speech she said "The people of this nation have a golden tradition of taking care of each other." Alas, if only that were true today.

While Sinatra may not have led a perfect life he knew class and grace and goodness and when to applaud it. Ms. Russell was well loved and admired by her peers and much of her generosity was not made known until her passing.
