That how i do my Husqvarna axe! Quite difficult to keep the edge in the right angle, can get it very sharp, but not razorsharp(almost) Looking forward for part 2! Thanks for sharing!!! Groetjes

I've had mine for about 10 years now and have no desire to sell it. Its a great tool! The only thing I did was put a new handle on it. I use a fine 3 square file (if it gets a rare nick), a norton stone and green compund on leather to keep it sharp. The ONE thing I would have liked to see on this axe to make it even better would be if helmo Roselli had of included a protruding front toe to get into concave shapes more easily

What edge angle do you use? I see that you have extended the bevel all the way back the beard, and it looks like a shallower angle than the mfg grind. Cheers! Justin.

I always use a light oil on the stones, but I guess water would work ok.

@mrbr549 These are water stones not oil stones. If you use oil on these they will instantly become expensive land fill. All the best...J
