Tamie, this was just great! I am a right handed tatter and this was so helpful. I loved your tips - to drop shuttle and let the twist out before pulling the ring tight and also the one about pulling on the picot before your next join. THANKS!!!!!

I don’t understand which picot you did the first up join in. Can someone tell me? Was it the first picot in the ring or the first one on the chain?

I'm a beginner beginner and am having a problem. When I pull the shuttle thread to close a loop it won't pull. I can only close the loop by pulling the cut end of the thread. I realize I'm doing something completely opposite but don't know what. Help!
