Its a great budget piece. My eight year old daughter killed a 12 point with it this year.

Best thing about a rossi, is the interchangeable barrels, you can go from a 22. All the way up to 30-06 and more, barrels change fast

.243 is good for anything in Missouri. I felt the same way until I shot a deer with it. its really a great round.

@Crzclwn I own it, use it as a deer rifle. It's got a little bit of kick, not too loud. It will sure take down anything you want at 100-200 yards, for the price it's definitely a nice rifle.

This gun is great. It also has a great price tag on it. I got mine at Gander Mt. in Marqueette MI. the price was $299 but that was with the scope I bought with it. I would recomend it for youth and adults who dont like a big gun.

You can, however since I bought it with just one barrel, I would have to send it out to get the barrels matched. You can by them in kits with any barrel under the sun

I actually ordered another Rossi yesterday now I have 2. The reason I bought a 2nd one is that Kentucky Gun had a Rossi Wizard .223 Blem on sale for $87.99 with Free Shipping & no tax, no credit card fee. This one has the optic sights & a nice wood stock so should look nice. I got this one for my Dad & heck for $87.99 for a .223 rifle how do you not buy it?

I have one came with 243, 12 gauge and 50 cal muzzle loader.had a clunky wooden stock that I refit and finished . If you for some reason need to make 300 yard shots this isnt the rifle for you. If you want a light, rugged dependable multi barreled hunting rifle at an extremely reasonable price, jump on it. Most of my hunting shots are less than 100 yards and I use it every year the muzzle load barrel is a little heavy but I have no problem with its accuracy to 100 yrds either

+Gene Baker this gun will shoot 300 yds all day long

The grooves in the barrel are not cut deep enough to make consistant groups at that range, will it shoot 3oo yrds, sure. And the thin barrel is made from substandard steel and gets hot pretty fast so the all day thing is a little questionable. Rossi isnt the greatest gun on the market but its ok for what its intended for

The wood stock is not walnut. I strip all the color out. I called Taurus they had no answer for me besides it's Brazilian Wood I guess from the rainforest.

I'm 41, 6ft, and 270 lbs. This is my deer rifle using Barnes ttsx 80 grain bullets. It's super light, very accurate, and great for the Appalachian mountains where I hunt. It drops every deer I shoot with a high shoulder shot! I'm strong as an ox and have owned many different calibers over the last 20 years. I could pack a bigger, heavier rifle but why? This gets the job done, I forget it's on my back, and I don't worry about dropping it, scratching it, or pushing up and down the mountain through thick cover. I love when other men tell me that I need a bigger rifle 😂.
