the song is Russian in origin, it is sung in Russian. Russians have greatly influenced their culture.

Песня поётся на русском и по происхождению она тоже русская, просто была популярной у вепсов как и куча других русских песен, поют они только по своему.

@BaboonBro Veps are still living in thouse places they have been living before World war 2 and even World war 1. They were never pushed anywhere! And they lingually related to south Karelians (Livvi), and as for Hungarian they hame as much in common as English and Sanskrit
