Back when i used to line them , we had to use a basket and pogo sticks , then portapower and cut and insert key . then in the lime kilns we would go back and drive shims if any were needed .

I loved laying kiln brick. I Worked with a guy who built the rings. Only had to use pogo sticks a few times amd always a little sketchy 😂.

@@tauruslightwarrior0079 Most i did not mind , Just the lime would burn you up when doing lime kilns , And tearing out a lime kiln lining is not a nice job either

Yep lime sucks! Dropping rings with a 90 was a blast. Then some they brought in a Brock. A robot with a jackhammer arm. I did alot of work in Montana and Neveda in lime kilns.
