I think this was a great video and you earned a new subscriber! I wonder how powerful one of these are compared to a Aputure 120d? Also, weirs question but how stable are those stands?

Hi Lane - thanks for the great comment. The stands were quite stable, but no different really than most compact stands. I couldn't tell you how they compare to the 120d as I've yet to use that light. Perhaps another viewer can chime in. Thanks!

hi, thank you for your videos for introducing rotolight neo2. just I need to know: 1. since it is coming with small soft box and barndoors only how is possible to control light (for continuse and flash as well) for different scenarios (not only headshot or portrait)? for example snoot for making spot light or vertical soft box for full body fashion photography or large soft box for architectural or landscape photography, etc... 2. since it is not very powerful light, is it providing enough light for shooting in sunny day (Like speed light)? please advice. thank you

Can I use true aperture feature while it’s on continuous light mode? Or, does that have to be triggered?

I have had this rotolight for a while now and I have to say, its kind of cheap and not very good lighting output so far. I am using a godox trigger to fire it and maybe that has something to do with it but the set up is a learning curve and too much to remember when you're out shooting. The menu isn't very good and hard to get to what you need. I am going to continue messing with it but I find myself going back to my godox SL60 LED light and flashpoint xplor for high speed sync.

How do I get NEO 11 to go to flash mode to set up. Help!

So, it's a $400 unit that doesn't support any standard modifiers, requires a battery pack to achieve full power and even so has less power than a standard hotshoe strobe? Seems like it's better to save a little bit more and grab a 600EX RTII or a third party for much less, like the Godox V860II. Hell... for R$330 you can get a Godox AD200 that has more than 5 stops of power more than this. Seems like a great light for videographers, but I can't see any reason a photographer would consider buying this.

I bought this ... biggest mistake of my life. Used outdoors in overcast conditions and in shadow, all my images had to be edited to increase the shadows where the Neo 2 didn't do the job. I WAS a member of the Jason Lanier Facebook Page and said how bad it was explaining this was a indoor video light which would be useful for on camera focus assist but it shouldn't be marketed as a option for stills photography. As well as a few interested parties wanting to know my experience I had on of the moderators telling me I didn't understand the setup of a Portrait and how to balance light... The fucking arrogance of these pricks. He took a outdoor evening image set his iso to 8000 that tells me everything I need to know.

Frank Outdoors you seriously thought that you could use this outdoors? It doesn’t take a brain scientist to figure out this aren’t strong enough.. even the aeos would have trouble. But the neo2? Come on man..
