In conversation with Mona Awad for Awad's novel "Rouge" at Booksmith, SF.
Mona Awad was proclaimed by Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale) as her “literary heir apparent” in an article published in The New York Times Style Magazine. The author of 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl, All’s Well, Bunny, and most recently Rouge, Awad spoke about the themes of horror and witchcraft which characterize her fiction, as well as the role of fashion and conformity in her work.
