I like those little blades for cleaning small areas, like gunk inside knives, blade tang, and detailed areas. A wider blade can't get in there. They are great for small tasks. I keep one besides my chair & I am always using it for something. That Blue Mule series is great, and seems to cost less than other series they have.

Agree entirely! Like my mom said, it's great for picking at stuff, and I'm inclined to agree, that's what I tend to use it for.

I have a Queen City Abalone Small Texas Toothpick and Rough Ryder Large Toothpick. I also own a GEC 12 and tend to carry the large Toothpick more often.

Good to hear! I think a medium toothpick would be a happy medium (pun not intended), but at that size I'd probably end up gravitating more towards multibladed knives anyway.

I find these little guys great for digging slivers out of fingers, ripping sewn seams out, and little pokey jobs. Anything bigger, I get a bigger knife. They come in lots of covers, so I can try, say, sawed brown bone with fancy bolsters, for pretty cheap. I like your multi-generational approach to reviews!

I love the toothpick pattern, but much prefer the medium and large ones. It seems everyone predominately makes the small ones, but for me, they are just to small to be comfortable and therefore effective in doing cutting tasks. The 4" medium ones are just way better imho. I have 2 of the 5" large ones, and 2 of the 4" mediums, but only 1 of the small ones, and it got carried one day, then relegated to the collection case. I carry the 4" ones by far the most. The toothpick and copperheads are probably my 2 most favored patterns, although I do appreciate most all of the traditional patterns. I enjoy the history and nostalgia of them. When I was a kid, that's all we had really. The Buck 110 and it's look alike copies were the "modern folders" I guess I'm kind of telling my age there. An old Camillus Boy Scouts camp knife was my first and most well used knife back in the 60's. I carried and treasured that knife for many years. Oddly enough, I have around 40 or 45 traditional knives today, yet not a one are the camp knife pattern, unless you count my Victorinox Fieldmaster or Farmer. I enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make them, and tell Mom I said thanks for helping you to do so.

Very thoughtful and lovely comment, thank you for that! I agree, this is a bit small for most tasks, and I'm sure that the medium would be much more up my alley. I'm with you on copperheads, they're an awesome pattern, but I only have one formal "copperhead". When I'm not broke, I hope to get a couple more! Glad you like the videos, I really appreciate it, and my mom says that she appreciates your message as well. :)

Although it's small for my taste, I do really like the blue G10. It's a good looker.

@@timbo4374 I agree! I'd love to get the sunfish in that line, but I PROBABLY should save some money up first!
