When you take chances with rough seas, you need to be prepared to pay for the consequences of your decisions. What troubled me more than water intrusion was the skinny guy with the tattoos not offering to help the woman in the red bikini as she struggled to move about. She fell down twice and the dude did not even lift a finger to help her. So much for women and children first.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip. That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailing man, the skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour. a three hour tour. The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost, the Minnow would be lost. The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle, with Giligan, the skipper too, The millionaire, and his wife, The movie star, The professor, and MaryAnn, here on Gilligan's Isle. So this is the tale of our castaways, they're here for a long, long time. They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. The first mate, and his skipper too, will do their very best to make the others comfortable in this tropic island nest

I’m sorry to ask a dumb question, but what do the out riggers do?
@robertholt2864
2 жыл бұрын
It's for fishing (trolling). Each out rigger has a pulley on the end with a cord run through it. The cord has a big clothes pin on the end. You spool out you fishing line in to the water as far behind the boat as you want (as the boats moving). Then you put your line on the clothes pin and use the cord/pulley system to run your line out to the tip of the out rigger. This takes your fishing line out away from the center line of the boat. You do this so you can put more fishing lines out behind the boat. If a fish gets on the line your fishing line will get pulled from the clothes pin and then the race is on for everyone else to get there lines in before everything gets tangled up.

Seems that all the boats with top line rail pointed downward at bow, have more wave action going over bow. Pretty lines to view on boats, however worthless in real seas. You can't trim motors enough to over come waves coming over bow. Unless your a BIGGER yacht with tons of bow freeboard to ward off pooping over bow. Obvious to me.
