Thanks Gaffer. Harry Robson is a real old pro whose done a lot onR&S and also designed a great envelope to receive a card in card & wallet. I was at a function once where he was the walk around and he spent a good half hour walking through his act with me when I said I was an enthusiastic amateur.? Lovely man. The only thing I’d question is whether the Ali express product isn’t a knock off? Harry’s real version is a bit more expensive.

I have that same roughing stick. It works great, especially when making the invisible deck.

Loved the way you turned the two of clubs into the seven of clubs, or was it the other way around, @2:05

Coincidentally, I had this roughing stick delivered yesterday from Ali Express. It cost me £5.65. I got it more out of curiosity than anything else as I don't actually know any tricks that require it yet. It was interesting to see it being put to use. Oh, by the way, the advice you gave me about getting bridge size cards was great. I'm finding learning card manipulation much easier. Thanks!

Hi gaffer. Roughing sticks. If you want the best rough and smooth out there in my opinion. Then if you are able to get it from Germany a spray called science friction. Only need to treat one card and not two and doesn't ruin cards as its removable. Amazing stuff works fab. From cardshark International Germany. I know it's not easy to get in uk due to import post stuff but great if you can get it cheers gary

I've gotta say...I like that the first card you tried it on was a Seven. 😉 I've never used any kind of roughing, but it's something I'm trying to figure out how to do inside the parameters of my challenge (I can't put any money into the project until I've raised enough for my first donation). Basically... I'm trying to figure how to accomplish the roughing with what I already have at home. 😂 Thanks for the education, though, every piece of information helps.

It has to be a knock off as the real Harry Robson roughing stick is great and the cards don’t split at all plus the stick is very hard like Gaffers original roughing stick

I just found a Neo Inception roughing balm v2 on Vanishing Inc. for $19.95 and on Amazon US for $21.95. Not sure how it would compare to the original or if you knew this version 2 was available.

Hi Gaffer did you know the wax they put around cheese makes an excellent roughing balm just let it set for a day or two once removed from cheese

Do you mean the red wax around the baby bell and doesn’t it leave the card red?
