Very good, fitting one of these cup holders from a Rover in my camper, dropped it an come apart, your video saved the day because I could see how the spring was located, excellent 👍

Thank you for the video - helped me get my one back working. Mine started to stick closed after reassembly. A liberal dousing of silicone spray around the front closing surface and it now works a treat, Cheers!

Ahhh! Great to see the cupholder!! I wasn’t alone in many times pushing the front drivers “wooden” side panel expecting a cup holder to appear 😂

Those cup holders are a pain, they only come out when they want to lol 😂

There’s something very satisfying about the smoooooth action of a cup holder. Well worth the effort to sort Simone 👍

Its a hell of a job to remove that back seat on the Rover 75..its held in by spring wire rods...its even harder to get it back in properly...one point of interest is .. on the offside...thats drivers side there is a big metal pipe comes in...its trunking for the cables that come into the car from under the wheel arch...it can let water in and cause rust...especially if salt gets in there...Bob...Paignton.....

Thanks for that. Just about to give it a go to find some strut numbers for rimmer bros located under rear seat they say. My Rover leaks like a sieve btw. Put some foam tape all round the boot lid and stopped a lot of the ingress from there as it builds up in the spare tyre well.

I'm very pleased you were successful with this repair I'm also even more pleased you didn't lacerate your hands (something I always manage to do with jobs like that) And you have ably illustrated the advantage of a slight build for maneuvering within the confines of a motorcar (something I struggle with because I weigh 17 stone and I'm over 6 foot tall and very old)

I've always been skinny and light . Not always the best though when weight is needed.

Those wire rod thingys at the rear of the seat base. How do you dis-egage 'em and worse, how do you re-engage 'em? it is all soooo annoyingly not obvious or easy....

Mine don't sit correctly. I know how you feel as mine only pops in on one side. Yank the seat up as hard as you can.

Thanks for the comment. So do I although I have to treat the rust spot under the seat at some point. It was mainly due to not having much else in the pipeline. If I'm traveling with friends it will come in handy.
