She's correct in that people talk very little of the injuries from accidental and intentional gun shots. My ex-wife's son was shot through his calf at like 18/19 when a friend of his was just showing him his new gun. Put him in the hospital, had to go through PT, left a massive scar on both sides of his calf and tramautized him. Gun safety classes should most CERTAINLY be required for gun owners.

@@pleiadiblu2365 One is safer using a rifle with a spread shot than a direct ammo because your aim is likely to be bad if waking up. Surprise, fear, and nervousness can also reduce one's aim. Further, if a gun comes out the robber is more likely to become defensive and pull their own. Most burglars do not want an incident so, without that gun, they are more likely to run away when seen. My parents are really big on guns, they're homesteaders so they collect but also have them to protect the animals on their ranch. My mom has a conceal carry permit and takes it with her everywhere, I've grown used to it but when I see it in her purse it unnerves me. I was taught how to shoot a gun when I was young, and I hated it. My mother always insisted I needed a gun "just in case" but I refused, especially after my son was born. I took gun safety classes when I was young and when my son was old enough he did too. He's never been allowed to play with toy guns, I've always told him that guns are never toys, period. I think the safety classes should be mandatory not only for the gun owner, but also every person who lives in the household where the gun will be kept. If the person changes residence or roommates, same. My mother says I'm just butthurt for whatever reason, but I still think everyone should be educated and it's the least we should do.

And now imagine that club is telling you horror stories that Democrats are going to come take away your action figures if you don't donate right now... you'd melt down. You'd fight. That’s always been a priority, actually I’d prefer the dog and a security system at this point anyway. But how do we realize that balance between the responsibility and this freedom? Same here also. . . Washington State law allows Deadly Force to protect life NOT property. Someone fired their gun at someone stealing their vehicle. One bullet went through their neighbor's outer wall and killed the neighbor. He was found guilty of Manslaughter.

Maybe the thief should think before breaking into someone home if their life is really worth the same as a TV, if they say it's ok, then that's all on them not the property owner

If someone breaks into your home while you are there they know that. What do you think they are willing to do to you if you are in the way? If someone breaks into your home while you're there they are putting the lives of your family at risk. If you aren't willing to do everything you can to protect your family you are a horrible father.

Only ten days? Why not at least three months before picking up the weapon? It’s a gun, a weapon!

all those traditionalist supreme court judges should really be made to testify the second amendment. does it only apply to what the founding fathers knew at the time of writing the constitution or does it apply to modern interpretations of arms. maybe it should only apply to muzzle loaded arms that can be held and operated by a responsible owner

I know you're a comedy show but seriously the Second Amendment is not for hunting and it's not for self-defense, it's only for the defense of a Free State.

How do you defend yourself from tyranny if you don't have the means to do so readily available, such as in your home?
