I think that it’s true that not all hope is lost for substance, beauty and meaning in music. We must all be thankful for things like KZitem to give all of our many different generations things like Reaction videos. No one could have seen this coming or what it would become, not even the folks at KZitem. It is not merely a source of entertainment, but beneath, it gives a chance for all races, genders, and ideologies from different walks of life to come together in unity and share, learn about, and understand music from many different eras in history, and from different genres. I believe in the end, the HEART of music will return. People will tire, and they will yearn for something that stands for, and means something. There seems to be be evidence of that in a lot of the music that is coming out in recent times, and everything has a cycle. I’ve noticed it in Country, (though I’m not the biggest fan) and Pop music, as well as with Rock and Rap. In the end, bullshit walks, when the PEOPLE talk. In any case, we’ll always have a catalogue of classics to reminisce upon, and share with the world. Music is a gift.

I was really impressed with with your comments on today's music. I thought what you said was very insightful. About fifteen years ago one of my nieces told me that she hated the fact that the music from my time was so much better than the music from her time. At the time I thought it was funny. But now I understand what she was getting at. Music today seems so fake. It's all about big stage shows. Frantic dancing and pyrotechnics. I think music has been completely taken over by corporations. But the sad part is that there are still just as many talented people who can write songs and sing wonderfully as any other time. They just need to get busy and follow their passion. Forget the corporations and form garage bands. Remember that all those powerhouse bands from the sixties, seventies and eighties all started in small dingy clubs If they can do it, so can the current generation. I'm 65 years old and I've seen the best and the worst of music. It's just time for another upswing.

When it was released globally and it became one of the most successful songs of the 90's. It was #1 on the US Billboard Top 100's, #1 on US Adult Contemporary, and it was the most requested song that played on the airways, and still popular to this day.

JB I know exactly what you mean. I grew up listening to the best music. Music used to have actual chords with good arrangements. Today, the kids don't even know how to dance. They just jump. Kids and young adults today don't even know how to smile or have conversations with people they just meet. Today all they do when they go to a concert is pull out their phones and video what they are watching through a phone screen and don't even enjoy the moment. Society has become emotionless rebots compared to my youth.

This song was a part of the Pretty Woman soundtrack, both came out in 1990, so it does have kind of an 80's pop sound that the genre still had back then. Roxette debuted in the 80's, but the 90's was definitely a great decade for them and it all started with this movie, they're from Sweden btw, she's so talented, love her voice.
