I love this song. My Dad use to sing it to my Mom in the 80s. Sadly, she passed away in 1993 from cancer. He stayed a widower and never loved anyone like my Mother ever again. It’s a really sad thing, but at the time…when I was a kid, even I knew at that age it was a very beautiful thing they had ♥️

Amazing God? That´s a joke, isn´t it? If there´s a God then it was that very same God who killed Roy´s first family and himself much too soon. That´s not amazing, that´s sadistic and evil.

Roy Orbison inspired so many artists, but none could ever match his beautiful voice and high range. He truly is one of a kind and missed even to this day.

Linda música grabada en abril de 1988. Post muerte de Roy Orbison (diciembre 1988), fue lanzada en enero de 1989. Y sigue sonando en 2023 🎵❤️

I remember when this song came out. I was in a Hillman Hunter Station wagon at the time in Sylvia Park Mt Wellington Auckland N.Z .The song was played. I recall hearing about the passing of Roy Orbison not long after. it reached No 1 it was very popular on the radio playlist. The Travelling Wilburys were on the verge of doing a tour of New Zealand and Roy Passed away. Quite sad. A great artist. He had more good songs left in him but taken too soon. You Got it, one of the best songs of 1988. Great bit of 80s nostalgia.
