Today, we try out DJI's own mic adapter and lavalier microphone, in a motorcycle vlogging situation. DJI list these as being compatible with the Osmo Action 4, but as I have the Osmo Action 3, will it work ???
This is my first attempt with this setup, so a bit of fettling will no doubt happen in future videos, but as a start point, I think it is acceptable. The camera recording volume is set to -5, and I have increased the volume in editing to +10.
On the previous setup, Camera volume was -6 then increased to +23 in editing.
I don't usually record on motorways, as they create too much distortion at speeds over about 55mph, however, although there are imperfection's in the audio, it's no worse than the previous setup.
I have noticed a "drumming" sound, but I was watching on my television with soundbar and sub. That said, I didn't notice this with the previous setup.
I think my voice is overpowering the exhaust note, which is something I need to look at, though I didn't really want to introduce another process into editing.
Thanks for watching.
