RE killed the sales of Harley Davidson in India and Harley quit the Indian market, now RE is going against the Triumph...

More like Harley killed themselves. There was barely any competition by RE in higher CC segment .

Great vid! Happy to say that here in the USA, we just bought three of these! I'm 61, and have been riding for over 50 years. This is the smallest bike (engine wise) I've owned in over 30 years, and it's the most fun I've had since my first ride! I got one for me and my son, and his girlfriend's father as well. No matter where we go or what we're doing, we get stopped and asked about them. I'm also a big guy - 6'-4", 230 lbs. It's 100% comfortable - after I moved the bars back slightly and changed the gear shifter up one-notch. Perfection, even with the wife on the back. If you're considering one, go have a look (and test ride if possible). I don't think you'll regret it and I'm guessing you're going to love it! Ride safe all! Coffee incoming ☕☕☕☕☕

This is an absolutely beautiful motorcycle. I saw it in the flesh at the Rapid City South Dakota dealer yesterday. It'd be perfect for beginners and/or anyone who just wants to putter around town or back country roads. I'd cut that windscreen down about three inches. I hate looking through a windscreen and this bike is not going to be ridden at speeds that really blasts the rider with wind. It sits higher than the Meteor and, actually, sits about the same as the 650 Interceptor (which I rode yesterday).

No wind screen. Got mine 7/5/22. Love it and the little cruiser is perfect for us more mature riders who care to get back to riding. Need a new helmet, want a Shuebeth G5, need a rear rack for my bag and i will ride anywhere within 150 miles. Prefer a Small road to a highway. I had a Suzuki, Kawasaki and 9 BMW'S. Speed days are over. Keep up the good work. Love your reasoning for your channel

TBH, the bike looks better with a single seat and without touring windshield. Also 10/10 would recommend anyone who is interested to have a look at this bike in person. Videos don't do justice to how good this and the matte black meteor looks.

The 1962 Royal Enfield 350 G2 is basically so similar in appearance and road performance that the so called "Classic" seems to be a "G2 Mk.II" rather than a recreation from the 1950's. Had the G2 continued into the 21st Century, I think that it could have developed into the "Classic" by natural evolution. RE have a natural presence in the world being historically connected with the long gone original factory in Redditch. Other once famous British marques are, dare I say, marques that actually died out and have been recreated around a petrol tank badge! RE has never died out thanks to the Indian connection that dates from the 1950's when Redditch was still in full swing. The modern RE is the real article.

Does seem that RE have found the formula for providing what you need for everyday life but in a package that does it in a relaxed non rat race way. With current fuel prices it certainly is tempting to return to 2 wheels and this or it’s Meteor sister would be high on the list of possible rides.

That is the version of the Classic I would love to have! What did you find was the biggest difference between the Classic and your 500? Was it the smoothness? Did you think the Classic was substantially lighter than the 500? Thanks for a great review.
@JackBonhamMotorcycles
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike hope you are well. Yes it’s a great bike. I will do a comparison soon but there’s not too much difference in wet weight just a few kg and the new classic is much smoother 👍

Nice review. I do wish RE would reissue a 500 single with a revised engine that would reduce the vibration issues the 500 Classic had. I assume the Classic 350 has balance shafts, since nearly all reviewers comment on how smooth it is. I'd consider the anticipated BSA 650 single (if they ever release it) but I am rather put off with the radiator hanging on it.

As an owner of this specific colour Classic 350 I agree on all points. Swapping from the UCE500 to this one I kind of miss the stomping torque the 500 had. Perhaps the aftermarket eventually produce a big bore kit and camshaft for the 350.

The more cc you put on a single cylinder engine, it makes more vibrations. That's why ig RE dumped the idea. But BSA Goldstar will come with a 650 single. I don't think it will be smooth at all.

why would you ditch the screen? what do you find wrong with it?
@JackBonhamMotorcycles
Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael. I found it obtrusive. I just wasn’t for me. You look 👀 through the screen to see the road. Personally thinking 🤔 it’s ok when dry but not great when raining and wet. Looking through a wet screen and a wet visor is not for me. I just prefer a good clean view of the road. 👍

Nice honest review as usual. RE have done a great job creating the Classic 350, it really does look the part and at the price is a real value for money motorcycle if you appreciate modern classics. Hi Jack. great video as always. I'm just about to purchase my own classic 350. i've been riding now for 45 years and have always done my own servicing in that time. How would I stand with the R.E warranty on this 350 if I was to do it myself/. I'm just a bit loath to pay through the nose for a job I've been doing for all those years. . Keep up the good work Jack. I enjoy all that you do!; cheers Andy (north Lincolnshire)

This is a tricky one. In as far as the law a manufacturer can’t insist you have the bike serviced with them, however, in as far as warranty they can insist that genuine parts are used and proof that a competent and qualified person actually completes the work necessary. I would stick with a main agent until the warranty period expires 👍
