👊👊👊 I had put in the following comment yesterday after test riding the Himalayan 450 and finding a video on it immediately afterwards (from another channel on RE Shotgun (650). I guess it is relevant even now. "I just came back after test riding the New Himalayan (450) and got this video in here. Regarding the Himalayan 450, I love the bike, but guess it is difficult to ride in city traffic (especially of Bangalore) than the original Himalayan, for 2 reasons. High seating position and Lower tractability of the Engine (as low down torque is far less than original Himalayan)." Also it somehow felt heavier than the original, even if factually it's not the case. But it is such a beauty when compared against the original. And I will be waiting for the Tubeless Spoke Wheeled version when it is launched in India to get it for a touring purpose alone, as in city like Bangalore it will be a pain to ride. It also felt like it needs more turning radius than a Tata Nano or an Autorickshaw.

KTM for its customisation capability and future proofness. Quickshifter and Traction control issues have been resolved in latest updates. Cornering ABS is something no one talks about. Even the 600cc bikes dont have it but KTM 390s do. Suspensions can be upgraded to adjustable ones. I got the 790's electronic cruise control installed on my 390 ADV recently. KTM service guys replaced my front METZELER tyre (Costs 14K) for zero cost due to a sidewall crack issue even post warranty. KTM is a headache free bike. It might not be perfect but it is backed by a strong global community for DIY hacks. KTM suddenly decided to make their app subscription only but some developer in Europe developed a third party free app for turn by turn navigation. Whereas dealing with RE service center is going to be a headache!

if suspension travel is not an issue, 390SW suspension is way better, it gives u a complete control on ur suspension

I was looking for this comparison video as I’m planning to buy one in 2024. Thorough discussion and covered all aspects. Superb! These two are my choices. My current bike is Classic 350 and next upgrade would be an adventure. Btw these two, Himalayan has got more points and better value for money. Just one question, how would Himalayan do in Bangalore city traffic? My rides are mostly city oriented in traffics. Would you still recommend Himalayan over 390 for city? As 390 has stalling issues.

@@rideyourluck1371 True bro, but heard that ADV 390 needs to be 1st gear when you crossing speed breaker or most of the areas where as other bikes really don’t. That’s why switching gears quite often will ruin your riding pleasure.

Hi bud. Thanks for the appreciation. 🙏 If you can handle the weight of the Himalayan I think it should be ok. The KTM is def gonna be easier in that part barrying you get used to keeping the engine alive at lower rpms.

Tc in ktm is hit or a. Miss as well the quick shifter. Looks are subjective for ktm. Performance both on par. Comfort Himalayan, less vibes as well. Parts and service will be cheaper too. Himalayan is clear winner.

there is no comparison. nx500 is a better machine overall with smooth butter engine, and the price is also double

Test riden the Himalayan 450 few days back, felt the heat coming from the fan is bit too much in traffic conditions. Haven't heard much about it, in any videos, Has anybody else felt the same?

😊 All 300cc+ bikes will heat in traffic. Nobody talks about it. The experts are used to it and the fanboys won't disclose it.

@@virajvrooms riding Honda cb350 hness for more than 1.5 years, heat is not noticable on my feet even after nonstop riding for more than 3h..

@@sumantkmehta Same on my 390 adventure. Except those 5 hours were on highway. I have ridden the Hness in old Mumbai and old Pune. It does heat up.

Himi has features like Ride by wire, slipper clutch, google map on display, also can play spotify, rear switchable abs which you didn’t mention.
