My sons and I were camping out there that weekend. We saw you as we were walking out of the gift shop. Cool looking bike, thought was a triumph and didn't know the Hunters are out in the US already. There were other moto campers out there that weekend with their big GS and sweet looking dersert X.

A timely video, heading to Caddo Lake State Park this Sunday for a few days. This will be my first motocamping adventure. Also following you with interest on the Hunter, looking for a second bike to set next to the Street Glide. Safe rides!

All the ingredients for a great overnighter (or two) - hammock, Mountain House (love that breakfast skillet), and cowboy coffee. This is how I take my own trips, except I like a little more solitude than I typically get at the local campgrounds when I have the time. Isn't it great to get away sometimes? Loving the RE series, and it seems like you're really enjoying the bike. I wish I had a closer dealer, but your videos are a big help in boosting my confidence. Looking forward to everything - more Navi, more PCX, and definitely more RE!

Iam in northeast, Pittsburgh, ill have wait until spring for my first moto camping trip on my new ruckus, hopefully ill have the adv 160 by end spring, but either way ill live vicariously through your videos lol, also a good idea with mountain house, is follow directions on bag, but afterward cook a little further in a skillet the get rid moisture and crisp it a little, especially the eggs turn out better, and they are great to add extra stuff to the meals

That was a great video. I'll have to look into those what look like convenient and possibly (?) not so processed survival meals. However, I hope you don't look down at me but on occasions when I do venture out to nature, I choose Nestle instant dark roast. I know it's not the same but I swear it reminds me of my mom's percolated coffee from years back. What a great bike for moto-camping. 👍

Excellent vid. Camp ground looks very similar to what you would find in Australia. I’ve never liked the hammock setup. Too uncomfortable for me. I use a motorcycle swag and tarp setup so I can sleep flat on my side.

Howdy, and greetings from the USA! I alternate between hammocks and tents for my motocamping adventures. I'm also a side sleeper, so tents are the easy answer as long as I have enough padding under me to prevent bottoming-out my shoulder or hip on the ground. However, I usually prefer hammocks because it's so hot and sticky here in the Gulf Coast. I've found the trick to being comfortable in a hammock is a diagonal lay so I can avoid the bananna profile and stressing my lower back and knees. I usually have an inflatable pillow (or two) that I place under my knees for even more long-term comfort. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Super informative and helpful my man. Much appreciated. I have a very similar luggage setup I just purchased and am about to use on my Hunter in a couple of weeks in the mountains with my brother. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ll surely be referencing this video going forward. You are fast becoming my official moto camping/Hunter guru. Cheers bro.

👊😉 Thanks for the support! Awesome timing, and congrats on your Hunter 350! I will be fabricating some custom mounts for SW-MOTECH SLC carriers in the next few weeks. That will allow me to reuse the same panniers from my Rebel 1100, and the bike still has a clean look when running naked without the panniers. That will give me just enough storage to be self-sufficient on the road for cross-country trips and tours of 1-2 weeks. Cheers! 👍 --QM

So now that the Super Meteor 650 is out for the US, what would you recommend getting? I live near the smoky mountains and would love to ride there every other weekend. I was thinking that the hunter might be too small for me as I'm 5'9" and 230lbs. Would love to hear your feedback. I hope you had enjoyed the camping.

is that custom signature se4at comfortable? love and regards from India
@QuasiMotard
10 ай бұрын
Yes, the custom seat is more sculpted, so it gives a slightly lower seating position... feels more "planted". The seat material for the rider is textured to give good grip, and it prevents sliding around. The only drawback that I noticed is that the custom seat is thinner and slightly firmer than the original seat. That thinner/firmer padding places more weight on my sit bones and reduces comfort slightly for longer rides (above 2+ hours)... but it's still tolerable. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Ah... that's what's throwing me! Columbus Day is traditional, pre-woke verbiage. These new names sprouting from revisionist history are confusing my old brain cells. Pretty soon, they'll rename a couple of our tradiional holidays to Fluffy Bunny Day, Starving Puritans Saved by Indigineous People Day, and Donkey Manger Under a Spotlight Day. Oy vey! 🤦♂🤣 --QM
